Meat workers are one of the first cabs off the rank down here too. When we were battling to (temporarily) eliminate the virus, meat plants were the main hotspots outside of hospitals.

It's a delicate balance. While we have the virus contained it makes sense to try to get the people at most risk of spreading the disease protected, but if we get another winter outbreak we are putting people with co-morbidities in danger by using up vaccines on perfectly healthy young people.

Barely anyone in the media has even mentioned this moral dilemma - as if shooting up a 24-year-old part-time fitness instructor before a 75-year-old obese person with diabetes is completely free of any ethical concerns.
