As for your dose just hope it isnt the Astrazeneca one
That's the only one I really don't want. I don't think it will be, but can't say for sure. The vast majority here have been Moderna and Pfizer, with lesser amounts of J&J mixed in. The appointment confirmation says Moderna, but there is an asterisk that says this may change according to what is available on that date.

I don't know anyone that has had anything other than Moderna or Pfizer from here though.

"this may change according to what is available on that date."

Thats the scary part and the audacity they have to just assume
you're gonna be ok with it becuase they told you about it. LOL

If I was scheduled for Moderna and they pulled out Astrazeneca I'd be like:

Handling what, the pandemic over all or vaccines? Our vaccine roll out is a joke.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem like the Astrazeneca one is being used here all that much. Where I got registered, the site only mentions Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J. So hopefully I end up with one of those without issue. If they're out of Moderna, I'm fine with the other two options.

maybe someone more in the know like @Splinty can chime in......are they using Astra much or at all here in Tx?

Guess they aren’t the type of vote he’s hoping to buy

"If they can't take money for votes then how are they supposed to make a living"?

Quote from the movie "Lincoln" when his organizers were trying to get some bills passed
on a trip. Good movie by the way but I have no clue how historically accurate

AstraZeneca has yet to be given approval for use in the U.S.. The company is expected to apply for approval this month but it is not in use yet anywhere in the U.S.

The FDA has given temporary approval to 3 vaccines - Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson&Johnson, all of which are in use.

Moderna?

I had no side effects to the first dose but the second dose kicked my ass for a good 6-8 hours. Body aches like you said and just felt like shit, much like a cold or even a mild version of the flu (I've had the flu before and this was not even close in severity, but the symptoms reminded me of it).

I would advise anyone on their second dose (Pfizer or Moderna, I've heard similar reports from family members who got Pfizer) to take the day following the shot off of work if possible. The effects are very short-lived, but they're definitely a little rough.
Just talked to my uncle. Guess it hit him hard. He got his Friday and still out of it. Guess if you've have COVID and it hit you hard the second dose will be shitty experience.

While he is also a Dem, that tweets are from the director FL Division of Emergency Management. Dave Kerner is the mayor, and is also very liberal, having spoken out against DeSantis often. So, to see them all put politics aside for the truth is pretty nice.
Publix honestly has better run pharmacies, with more staff. But their vaccine registration system is the worst. I got appointments at Walmart and Walgreens without nearly as many issues as Publix’ system caused. But that’s a company that until like five years ago made you apply on a kiosk in the store for a job instead of on the website. Technology isn’t easy for them.
