They're just lagging. Or maybe it's because the people are only outdoors. Snake fuck.

Same observation here in Austin. Nothing has really changed since the mask requirement was dropped by the governor. I haven't seen a single business that doesn't still require masks and distancing, restaurants aren't going full capacity yet, schools are still following all safety procedures, etc. Nothing has changed for the most part. Plus, lots of people are getting vaccinated now. I also think that many people here are just used to what they've had to do for the last year, so they're just still rolling with it and haven't backed off yet. My wife got Pfizer #1 yesterday, and I get #1 Friday.Vaccines and a vast majority of people still wearing masks and most businesses still requiring them, at least in my area.
You can't tell any of this to the retards, they will think you're a CDC shill.Same observation here in Austin. Nothing has really changed since the mask requirement was dropped by the governor. I imagine it is different though in the smaller or rural communities.
The head doctor here has said that outdoor transmission is increasingly common. She has no data to support these claims, but she's making them anyways.CDC came out with new ventilation guidelines last week along with deemphasizing disinfecting surfaces. Surface borne transmission has remained low with a bulk of studied transmission being respiratory droplets.
This is all pretty well known but CDC is always gonna lagtime due to requirements for big studies before they put their guidelines out.
Here we are over a year into the pandemic and the lack of federal push for new tech for cleaning indoor air, etc. is nuts to me.
In a year I feel like we could have provided retrofitted tech that would allow public buildings to increase capacity. We had this very conversation in this thread about 9-12 months ago. Airlines use very expensive recirculating tech to cleanse air. Surely industrial ACs could be retrofitted with similar. Recirculating air in dining rooms is a huge cause of transmission but surely we could figure out cleaning that air before recirculating it.
The reason is vaccines."Cases" are dropping for many reasons.
The reason is vaccines.
Canada doesn't have any and we're seeing cases at a rate we haven't in the last year.
Is Canada still testing at an absurd level of cycles on the PCR test? Cannot rule this out as the cause for high cases. The reason is vaccines.

No. With the WHO change in recommendations the cases almost immediately dropped. Is Canada still testing at an absurd level of cycles on the PCR test?
How is the Flu doing up there? hahaNo. With the WHO change in recommendations the cases almost immediately dropped.
In places where PCR count dropped so did cases. In places with vaccines they stayed down, in other places they didn't. I don't care what someone's opinion of the vaccine is, it's just the reality. How is the Flu doing up there? haha
At least you recognize or at least read about the recommendations.
I don't doubt vaccines are having some effect in areas where they are widespread.
I do feel you should have better access to them up there.
I would prefer if we had cycle count of PCR testing out in the open for different states/regions/labs/countries...I suspect they were, are, and will be adjusted to fit agendas or keep control of certain populaces.
This is a litmus test of control for many countries, how much control will the people submit to.

it completely destroyed our ability to Contact Trace or estimate 'natural herd immunity' levels.Denying that PCR tests were at a ridiculous level is plain ignorance IMO.
It is undeniably a factor in cases.
even my man @Filthy saw this long long ago
That is how I see itit completely destroyed our ability to Contact Trace or estimate 'natural herd immunity' levels.
and it was done for purely political reasons. They manufactured a problem for Pres Biden to 'solve' as soon as he took office.
to be fair, it was a pandemic with or without PCR testing. It had met the WHO criteria for a pandemic long before they declared it a pandemic.I don't care about your opinion of someone's opinion of the vaccine.
FYI My only opinion is that it should not be mandatory and that the long term effects or immunity provided is still unclear.
The Pandemic was based upon PCR testing so to ignore the power of it would be ignorant.
I wish you the best of luck with the vaccines sir.
is that the Dr Tam moron? The head doctor here has said that outdoor transmission is increasingly common. She has no data to support these claims, but she's making them anyways.
*Ninja edit: Sorry, misread.is that the Dr Tam moron?

No one said anything about PCR testing. You brought it up, and I addressed it. World keeps on spinning.I don't care about your opinion of someone's opinion of the vaccine.

You quoted me homeboyNo one said anything about PCR testing. You brought it up, and I addressed it. World keeps on spinning.
Cases in Florida (both raw numbers and positivity rate) have been on the rise for a few weeks.some brave states(FLA & TEX, and others) are seemingly crushing the narrative of how dangerous and deadly it is with full crowds and minimal restrictions
You quoted me homeboy
PCR is a huge variable in "cases"
If you don't wanna hear about it, then don't quote a post that touches on it
