Can you give me a list of a handful of one year pandemics? Would be interesting to see timelines and causes for ending.

I mean, I'd want to hurry up an catch Measles and gamble my rare death and swollen testicles too in a world with only reactive options. But I'd even more want to get vaccinated and not get it in the first place.

Because that was expected to be sufficient to drop this into background noise and we could get on with life?

I guess I missed that. I will watch.

I would love to give you examples of the "one-year'ish rule, if I wasn't sitting on the toilet with a crap phone.
Consider the 2 waves of black death(not caused by feces of rat mites btw), each a year'ish about 10 years apart.
Look at all the "flu's" @Splinty .swine, avain, pick one.

Regarding measles facetiously, look, the only reason your judgement is clouded is because you're in the industry & love the technology.
Vaccines were the discovery of a lifetime, and like all good things humanity brings forth, they were hijacked by Dr.Evil's.
It's no different than cops, FBI, CIA, fda, or rocketry.
But believing that flu shots or any vaccine these days does a damn thing is pure faith.
I haven't had a "shot" in over 30 years.
My daughter had a "mandatory" one 20 years ago & it almost killed her, gave her permanent damage.
My niece?
"SIDS", as if God didn't create us to lay on one side or the other, gimme a fuckin' break.

We had diseases from a dirty society, we're now predominately clean.
There would be 20 billion people on earth(or Mars) without vaccines, & that's by design.
More people die from "health care", directly or indirectly than just about anything.
Bill Gates alone killed 700,000 in a couple African countries, and would get stoned to death in India.

The fact that you love the technology and advances in medical science has clouded your ability to see the obvious big picture.

Rant, yes.
But I'm exhausted debating someone else's checkers game while they're robbing my house.
Us old guys know wtf we're talking about, we were taught history before it was illegal.
Meet the old boss, same as the new boss.

Could also be my decades of study and experience as well as a century of outcomes data, but I'm sure its that.

Could be something else...

You didn't.

Measles was just less deadly than much of your general childhood which was considerably more deadly than it is now. We care now because measles comes with cost and harm in various ways, including death that is now considered an unacceptable risk.

You guys were dying at a very preventable rate...

Measels kills at a rate of about 1-2:1000 (10-20:10,000 for that graph comparison) in western countries with modern medicine.

I've added that death rate on to the graph for future viewing

it's actually 4 counties called METRO that are co-administered.

it's a cluster fuck of self-interest and Old Money
That's the wacky PNW area that was still locking down when cases were non existant?

Who was that asked you to list this thousands recently and you didn't?
It was literally the Great Barrington Declaration started in Australia.
Before it was amended, the MATH protocol was established and they were silenced.
They amended and it was re-structured to be more "acceptable".

Also there's the Nuremburg 2.0 trials.

These things aren't hard to find.

It's literally harder to find any quality doctor of note that agrees with any of this shit.

Salem/PDX/SeaTac are held up in Progressive circles as these socialist utopias of the enlightened and educated.
But as soon as they were given a reason, the Benevolent Leaders started prioritizing self-interest and seizing power

It's a war, and the patriots are being squeezed away from ports of entry; Mexico, Canada, and the coasts.
Filled with fools full of hubris, not understanding the complexity or strategy of war.
They will rely on a perceived social justice and be obliterated as useful idiots, along with the rest of us, shouting "correlation doesn't equal causation" from the grave.

Doctor...

Are you familiar with ADE? Does it concern you?
I can answer that.
'Not until this post'

@Splinty ?

This has been talked about for 6 months amongst vaccine specialists, particularly regarding past coronavirus vaccines; no opinion?

*edit*
Apparently much longer than 6 months...18? I hadn't heard about the science of ADE until months ago.

ADE was well raised as a concern over a year ago.
It is one of the challenges that made me believe that we would not have a vaccine for at least a year at first roll out... ie Spring 2021.

It wasn't shown in studies and has not been borne out in subsequent vaccinations.
Vaccines for specifically developed with this concern in mind after MERS vaccine development was specifically designed to prevent ADE.

Does it concern me? Sure like any other possible problem with any new therapeutic. It's not got data that it's happening after initial trials and millions of shots. And is unlikely regardless.

So yesterday I get a text, something like...

"I have to get my vaccine today! My anxiety is kicking. Ease my mind!"

Fast forward to late evening, same person calls me and said, "Everytime I pass through the security things at a store I set them off." Not missing a beat I say, "don't worry about it. The vaccine will make that happen for a while."

Dead silence on the other end of the line. She called me names when I started laughing.
