The "both ends" isn't Corona.
Corona is basically a cold and it will go away in 7-10 days.

I'd still stay away from old people, which sucks because when you shit your pants that is the easiest group to blame it on. "Smell that? I think that geezer shit his pants."
Corona is a cough, fever, tightness of chest, trouble breathing and fatigue. It attacks the lungs through secondary overload of the immune system response. It doesn't go after the gut and it's not like a cold.

I have all of these as an unrelated condition. I really don't want to go out because I sound awful. And I am proper knackered, haha.

My lungs are so fucked up. I'm not needing to go out for a couple of weeks hopefully.

That's your best bet. Don't be afraid to seek help if things worsen. You never know.

I haven't been a selfish bastard but I have enough for a couple of weeks.

Splinty and Will gave some great advice, I'm just going to self contain and call my doctors when they're back in the office in 3 hours hopefully.

We’ve ramped up resources on remote access systems and we’re now supporting over 1000 remote users at my company.

I’m so fortunate to be working in IT and can do my job from anywhere (and have been from my home office for ten years). If any of you need some advice on how to get setup at home, I have some tips:

  1. Carve out a space just for work. If you get dedicate a spare bedroom so you can close the door etc, I highly recommend it. You need to be able to close the door and concentrate if you have kids and a wife/husband running around being all wacky because because you’re WFH.
  2. Don’t work from bed or couch. This sort of goes along with suggestion #1. You’ll need somewhere where work isn’t welcome and you can turn off. Leave the bed and couch for hanging with family and keeping busy with Netflix etc.
  3. Take frequent breaks. Schedule them into your calendar if you need to. I have lunch scheduled every day so no see I’m free for a meeting from noon until 1am. Make sure you take time to take a walk around the yard, get some air etc.

These are just a few things I’ve come up with over the years. I’d love to hear others on here who have some thoughts on effectively working from home.

China got it under control. Safest people to have cough on you atm.
Since when? As of last week they were still rounding people up (sick or not) to take them to quarantine centers, ensuring they would get sick.

So...Take some Nyquil and rest for a week.

It’s the crazy countries that were overtaken by the Cambridge Analytica approach to winning elections via propaganda and men wars etc. Figures.
The neo-fascist regimes are reacting with head in the sand tactics. Reluctance to impinge economic status of business is playing a large part and setting up for a bigger fall down the line anyway. U.S. federal system is providing it some cover for trump administration's poor response, but it could just be isolated cities that slow the growth while large swaths of the country gets swamped. Still unclear imo, U.S. on a knife edge, decisive action might save them still, I think.

Here’s the transcript from the conference yesterday. It’s so tough to not sound anti-Trump but this guy is seriously out of touch with reality.

Some excerpts:

And you will not hear anything bad about me unless it’s about a month or two from now.
I would like to say that people shouldn’t go out and buy. We’re going to all be great. We’re going to be so good. We’re going to do — what’s happened with the Fed is phenomenal news. What’s happening with all of these incredible companies is phenomenal news.

too busy working for big tobacco to worry about things like virus protection

those vap carts are gonna ruin the continent man
They were on the ball on that one, sending out swat teams into vape shops. Now they gotta do their actual job they are a mere hindrance... CDC needs to go, we need something better.

It was the constant wanking that I found the most distracting when I worked from home.

So...Take some Nyquil and rest for a week.
It's a flu bug.
A flu bug?

A flu bug is only half as contagious as COVID-19.
A flu bug has a vaccine, and treatments.
A flu bug doesn't have this high of a fatality rate even though it infects more people.

If this outbreak reaches influenza levels it will be as clear as day, the two are not even in the same league.
