I'm sure there's a lot of Trumpists that still think this is a game, but they might come to realize that the media has been labelling them 'insurrectionists' and even 'terrorists'. This is a big step up in rhetoric from not only 'protestors' but even 'rioters' and 'thugs'.
Cops are mostly Trumpists themselves, but this might provide a false sense of security. There's got to be a few in there that genuinely despise these people right now and view them as basically traitors, spurned on by the media messaging.
So some of these dipshits need to realize that they might be the unlucky one that comes up against a guy in riot gear with a night stick that has been told that you're a terrorist. It may not go down like that one time you held up a sign at a Tea Party rally protesting the deficit...
