in 2016, i did not vote for hillary. i wrote in "bernard sanders"
in 2020, i had not planned on giving an anti-trump vote to biden. i was triggered by something trump said one day, grabbed the ballot and mailed it in
i regretted my vote the very next day when biden said something about bittuigege being the future on colberts show iirc
on that same ballot, i did not vote for the democratic senator nominee - cory booker - because he takes corporate PAC money
i also told his campaign to stop texting me because i would never vote for him for that reason
so yeah, i am a progressive. and the democrats cannot assume they have my vote. biden was a one-off choice that i regret

Trump was the featured speaker at the event, and gave an hour and a half long speech on the final night. Six weeks after Jan 6. All he did in the speech was boast about things he didn't do and lie about the election being stolen from him, and then pause to accept applause.
But yeah, he's irrelevant in the party, a non-factor, nobody likes him, he's finished. So sayeth BeardOfKnowledge. That's what he wants to be real, and so he has spoken it into reality. No further evidence needed.

I actually like Buttigieg. For a corporatist ambitionbot centrist Dem, I like him. I respect the exceptional intellect, and he has gravitas to me. There's never going to be the specific candidate I would choose to be the President actually becomes the President, but the US has a lot worse options than Buttigieg. He's super fucking smart, takes the job seriously and isn't a doddering geriatric, which is a combination that neither of the last two guys can claim more than one of.

Oh yeah, he's always gonna look at the landscape and run the calculations about what's best for his personal ambitions in the medium to long term, and then do that. If I were American, you'd never see me rocking a Buttigieg '28 sticker on my car.
But these TYT type outlets can clutch their pearls about Buttigieg wanting face time with the power brokers. Progressive policies are popular with the general electorate, woke bullshit is not. American politics shifted hard right since Reagan, and the system is designed for slow incremental change.
