I'd think he went through a long process before the op. At the same time I can attest to the fact UK hospitals don't give a fuck. I signed myself out when I was on morphine, that they had given me, and they thought that was okay.

Having worked in a hospital for fifteen years, I wish I could say that wouldn't happen here.

I tried to persuade a hundred people not to sign themselves out as their insurance won't pay if they do.

Oh they tried to dissuade me. My brain just wanted out. Doctors and nurses told me I shouldn't leave, but my dumbass thought otherwise.

We had a kid that was 14, he was best in our kids group and it was decided he could start attending adult classes. I was the next littlest person so I was rolling with him, trying to guide him through transitions etc and not hurt him. Little bastard latched on and put a death choke on me and damn near broke my windpipe. It was funny, I had to tell him to calm down a bit.
