there have been MUCH MUCH better times in mma, but it is looking up for a bit here as OP stated. its been kinda dull latley since the high from may/mac last year and mma is getting some great fights to watch at least. that is the sucky part and the part i do agree with haulport on, that is pretty much all we got left, hoping for some good fights. but as fight fans thats pretty good if we do get some good fights. of course i want to see many changes and and hate alot of things about the current state of mma, but when good fights are up i try to forget or ignore that shit for a moment and enjoy what i can. my life having issues affects my enjoyment for mma more than anything. and sometimes mma is the only lifeline i got left of enjoyment. so heres what im looking forward to (which is much more than normal):
I get that
A few months ago, we had Bellator in financial trouble & testing the waters of being dropped to a lesser station.
Now even with low ratings (last card was the lowest on Paramount), they have financial stability due to DAZN (433m per) & they are going after a lot of fighters knowing they have a better budget.
That cannot be down-played
Even though some hardcores might dislike Conor & Brock, they have put MMA in the news & getting people to talk about MMA again.

I'm excited to see what DAZN means to Bellator & ESPN to UFC.
Both could be godsends.

I tend to be optimistic instead of negative.

I don't mean to insert myself here, but one of the best things about this site is that for the most part it lacks the judgment and insults of the UG and other sites. Disagree and debate, but calling a post/opinion "one of the dumbest things" is bad form IMO (especially from a channel mod). Respectfully.
I just wanna say I post and lurk both sites

not much difference IMO, used to be a difference but not so much anymore

Sad but true

That said, I am definitely excited for a few upcoming fights and events

For me it is a good forecast of MMA events

The last time I made a thread excited about what was on UFC's horizon, it ended up going to crap. At the time I had mentioned how exciting it was as we "thought" we were getting Dillashaw vs Mighty Mouse, Ortega vs Max, and DC vs Stipe. Only one came to fruition.

I do tend to not get excited until 3 or 2 days before the event...then I know hard training and sparring is over and only the scale can prevent a fight from going down
