I don’t know much about Roger Stone and I’m not a smart man, but is Stone some sort of political cockroach who leverages himself into power with incriminating insider knowledge? In this case he seems to have traded owning a letter with information that could send a congressman to jail for his perceived ability to get Trump to bury this potential problem for Gaetz. It’s clearly a blackmail chip he wants to have.
Follow this logic, and knowing Trump has tonnes of skeletons in his closet, some of the very same nature as Gaetz, I wonder if Trump hasn’t had to make a similar deal with Stone in the past. It would explain the brazen and blatantly fishy pardon Trump had to give Stone. Trump with his criminal past and weaknesses would be a sitting duck for piranhas like Stone.
It’s a real mob move. You fix something for somebody, now you are the keeper of their secrets, and you own them.
