These situations aren't comparable, simply because the UFC basically invented the sport. There wasn't someone out there already making money when Zuffa did what they did, which is what allowed them to grow exponentially. Had a different, established fighting organization existed at the time, I sincerely doubt we see the Fertittas fork over the cash, and we never have a UFC.
This is true.

First immediate thought seeing this photo.

Damn if only tj and Cain were still champs. this would have so much more weight.

But I support 100%.

Still very very very suspicious of this super agent guy. He's come out of nowhere sniffing Benjamin's in my opinion. We don't want a fiefdom run by some guy who doesn't know the sport. Way ahead of reality. But just saying.

There has been a disappointing amount of news from this and the other fighters' associations. Either they're working a lot behind the scenes, the fighters did what they usually do and caved to the UFC's pressure for certain individual promises, or the UFC is even more legally prepared for this sort of thing than the lawyers initially planned on.

It's clear, though, that including Bjorn in all of this really hurt their cred. That's what the story ended up being.

Yep. Its a mixture of the 2 and a few other factors.. Sad thing is, the fighters need an association, bad.
