That's nuts. That's was from 2012, has it gone up since?
Yeah the housing market has steadily increased for a few years now. Some people think it is another bubble. Might be going down with Brexit, though.

honestly, that seems a bit ridiculous to pay if you're just going to tear it down and build a new place. Are there any empty lots or cheaper homes in the area?

I live near Jason, I'm assuming it's either lake front or close to it. Okanagan Lake property is rather pricey.

Those prices are from the centre of London, though, and wouldn't hold across the whole city.

Ya I assumed that. Same as Vancouver and BC is pretty big so prices tapper off pretty good in comparison.

Looking on realtor.ca these are the 3 most expensive properties in my area, all over $10M.

Highest one at $20M

Same search in Vancouver to Whistler brings up 100+

A lot of land with those. I don't think you'd be able to find comparable properties in London. 5 acres would be the closest. I'll see what I can find.

Yes the size of land and obviously being lake front makes it easier to understand. Prices over where you are is crazy but people are buying I assume so...

There were a couple of blocks of flats that were up for like 60mil and nearly 10acres, but I didn't think that was a fair comparison. lol

Weren't they giving houses away for free not long ago, with the condition that you had to bring it up to code and actually live in Detroit?

Not sure what's going on but all those links only show me 2 different properties. I like the one that seems to have a big garage or carriage home in the back, cool yard as well.

Same that's really strange. Each link is different and from looking at different properties.

edit: I've fixed the top link, but going to delete the 5.8mil one as I can't find it anymore for some reaosn.

Something about the kitchen bothers me (I think the way the fridge is located on that wall) but on the whole, it is beautiful.
The fridge has to be opposite the stove and sink, right? At least that's how I've placed it when trying to picture the layou.. That's weird. Plus it seems like the would have went with a counter depth fridge to make it more seamless. Also... Unless it's an optical illusion, why in the hell don't have they have some sort of island? The cart is tiny for the space.

I have spoken of this before. Someone ought to let me finance 50 khmers and keep it good. Then 5 years later split the loot.

Yes. All this is yes.
The kitchen is all wrong.
