I have a more drastic rule change suggestion: The QB Can't advance the football past the line of scrimmage

Even a dumbass like me, from a country 2000 miles away from the US, who never played the game, and who only has a rudimentary understanding of the tactics utilised by either offense or defense, can see that things tend to move in cycles in the NFL.
Give it a year or two, and we'll see pundits talking about how the top offensive coordinators are picking apart the two high safety defense.

I really hate it when anyone paid to talk about football claims to watch every snap/every game/every week to support a dumb argument.
No one has that much time to do that and to deeply dive into what they are seeing. 22 players on a field and every game has somewhere like 140-160 snaps a game. No one is able to commit that much time to every player on every play of every game of every week. There is a reason why teams have scouting DEPARTMENTS. Shit even shitty PFF/SIS outsources their work.
Dan O also has a very time consuming job and a family I assume he spends quality time with. He's a straight up liar. He could watch the condensed games for sure if he was motivated but to actually breakdown film is simply not happening.
If Mike McCarthy lied about doing this to get a multi-year multi-mil job than Dan O has no problem doing that to win a twitter argument.

If i was in Dan's job, i would absolutely watch every game eveyr week.
Well he used that statement to justify his evaluation on a players abilities. I would say he was implying that hes breaking down film.
He for sure was not talking about watching broadcast games.
Rome's dad posted this on Twitter shortly after Dan O's comments. Some think its him pulling a OBJ's dad situation and calling out his QB but I think its him saying Dan O is wrong.

Can’t stand Orlovsky.
Hes the worst. Hes leaned into the Skip Bayless "let's say outlandish shit" mold and it's awful. He just sprinkles in basic football knowledge every so often to keep his credibility up.
He just said he watches every game, every snap. He could for sure just re-watch all the games and call it a day.

I forgot Kellen Moore was the OC for Philly now. So in that end game situation when they elected to pass it all makes sense now. I said for years now Moore has no idea how to actually have a effective run game. Dude loved to pass when they should run.
I feel like I'm remembering that he had some hip or leg injury last year. Maybe he's not 100% healthy because it's very weird to see a HOF level talent all of a sudden play like he does not belong in the NFL in such a short time.
Its been an inconsistent lineup more than anything.
He went virtually his entire career with the same snapper/holder.
Then the last two years he's dealt with a new holder... and a different snapper each year.
A bit of the yips, I'm sure... but I wouldnt bet against Tucker rounding back into form.
