It seems odd looking back that no one drafted him sooner. He had the physical tools and the size, kinda weird.
They shouldn’t have been in position to do so to begin with. The runner lowered his head and forced contact with the defender two plays prior to that.
Did he have off the field stuff?

Lotta talk about Cooper DeJean being the first white starting cornerback in the NFL since 2003, but that was off base. Cooper has few snaps in 2024 and is only playing sparingly for the Phili Eagles defense.
Riley Moss, also from Iowa is the first white boy to start at CB in 20 years. He has two starts for the Broncos in 2024 and is playing pretty well. Tight coverage and also flying around to help make tackles in the run game. Moss is the one who broke back thru that white boy barrier.
