they are amazing
but they aren't playing down to opponents
in scheme or in effort

that isn't how elite competitors operate in the NFL
You watch Muay Thai? You ever see the great fights where the real pros feel each other out for a few rounds before they really clash with everything they have? It's this sort of idea. KC does it really well. They are fighting, but not like they will in the later rounds. And maybe other teams in the NFL do NOT do this, you are probably right. San Fran played their asses off in the SuperBowl and had a dominate first half. That was the absolute best performance they were capable of. KC still had a little something and you saw it in the second half, when they needed it. SF had no answer for Corndog. Nobody had ever seen that variation anyway. They hang in until it they have to take over. That's what they do. Right now they are competing to win their 3rd SuperBowl in a row and people can't understand this. It seems pretty obvious to me.

I dunno

why should he get paid if he is breaking his contract
Pretty sure if he is healthy he has to follow the coaches orders and decisions
The excessive part is looking to get a max suspension so he can't get paid and they don't cut him to play for a different team. Essentially putting him in limbo to where he can't play football if he wanted to.

This would be like your job not willing to fire you but also making sure no other job can hire you.

It's not that they play down, they just don't use all the tools they have until they really need them. We can agree to disagree, I suppose.
I can always agree to disagree, my postings are just one man going insane on the internet lol

We both must agree that if Andy could hang 40+ on every team he would, and Pat and Travis and Bros would really love to do so. At this level everybody has an Ego. Nobody wants to win by late heroics only and sometimes due to officiating and bounces off uprights.

I respect the run, don't get me wrong. Both of Denver's NFL domination runs had plenty of luck and circumstance involved.

I think you would see a bit more of that if the offensive line wasn't struggling a bit. Also, there does seem to be a little bit less discipline then we had with Eric Bienemy. Also McKinnon was a really phenomenal pass blocker and not having that hurts quite a bit, especially with the struggles at the tackle positions. One more idea, the offense was created in the offseason with a different set of personnel. Continuity is under appreciated.

OH I get it
The line sucks bro, it is amazing they are still winning, that is a credit to Pat Big Red and the Defense

I watch way more chiefs snaps than almost any non chief fans, probably watch 75% of their plays every season

The Defense is the Juggernaut right now, reminds me of 2015 Broncos in many ways

Pretty impressive how good Buffalo is after losing Davis and Cooper. Addition by subtraction. Wonder if either (or both) were toxic locker room presences.

Allen is like John Elway with two ACLs on Steroids
Guy is basically unstoppable when he runs and has a Rocket for an arm
Surprised he ever loses

What happened to the puff in New Orleans?
Just saw the highlights and Rattler was in there at the end.

Why the fuck would they plan to play close games instead of comfortably coasting to an easy 10+ pt victory?
That's a really, really retarded strategy.
He's saying they save their best plays for the playoffs. They aren't putting anything new on tape during the regular season. Look at the last two Super Bowls. They won against Philly using a play they never ran before. Scored a TD, then flipped it and ran out of a different formation on the opposite side and scored again. THen, the next Super Bowl, they ran another variant of that play to score a TD against SF after not running it the entire season. They aren't putting that play on tape trying to score against the Panthers in the 2nd quarter of week 12. They run the same boring shit and if they don't get in, they take three points.

Now, the Chiefs have their problems, and can't do whatever they want, whenever they want, but if you think they aren't holding something back, you are mistaken. Reid is not MCDC, keeping the hammer down even when he's up 3 scores. And while MCDC's style is way more fun to watch, it's much less likely to win the SB.

I hope they lose their first playoff game by 20 points

I'm trying to give Mayo a chance as a HC but I don't get why he's gotta be a dick head everytime he's behind a mic.

Has there been no media training in NE over the years? It seems like every coach from the Belichick tree thinks they can be dickheads without earning those stripes first.
Hmm, all he said was "You said it, I didn't."

Kind of sounds like him just avoiding the question entirely, unless I'm misinterpreting things?

You said it, I didn't often means you agree. Hes talking about the job his OC is doing. He threw his OC under the bus as the tweet says.

It's not hard to use coach speak of something like "Our guy called the best play he felt for that situation. We will look at the film and make adjustments to situational football as needed".
