Texas, Notre Dame, Penn State. Like I said, take your pick. The whole strength of schedule, how many points you won by, etc method is so convoluted that wins and losses should really mean more than they have this year.
They beat tex twice so 2 losses.

You're going to put ND with their schedule at 2 with a loss to NIU? GTFO

Penn State? I don't see it but I guess. They'll get to prove it and they got the easiest draw anyway so really they fucked you guys lol

As I said, conference championships shouldn't count and it's utterly retarded that they do. So they beat Texas once when the rankings are supposed to matter.

I could say "Oregon should have laid down against Penn State" but a loss and they'd probably have bounced Oregon from the playoff, lol.

The reason Georgia got the 2 spot imo is the 2 wins against tex. That solidified them as a top team in the committee's eyes.

You're twisting this all up. I'm talking about what happened and your talking about hypotheticals. Penn State stole the draw you guys should've had imo. There's a hypothetical for you.

There‘s no natty timeframe, there’s just good coaches building good programs.

Dabo took over a Clemson team that hadn’t done shit in 20 years and had them playing for the title within 5.
Oregon was playing for a title within 2 years of Chip Kelly taking over, but it takes being an established program to have a pipeline of kids that want to play there.

tOSU is going to be a tough out for anyone if they play like this.
If they play to their full abilty there isn't a team in the country that can hang with them. I'm biased obviously - but I stand by that. This team is fucking loaded.

If Georgia's QB has some fire they'd be the challenge but that's a big if. Their D is up for the challenge. I'd bet on tOSU right now though.

Not anymore it doesn’t, it just takes money.

In modern CFB, there is no tradition or pipeline that accounts for more resources than money provides. The transfer portal players the Quacks land are proof of that, and so are their recent recruiting classes.

There is no tangible asset a school like Ohio State has that Oregon doesn’t. If Oregon doesn’t win a Natty, it’s because they’re getting out-coached and outplayed, not because of shit that happened 20 years ago.

Ducks won't go away but to get over the hump they will have to become a lot more smash mouth and physical.
They have been knocking on the door for over 10 years now.

Oh, I didn't think I lead on that I was suggesting any different. I was just saying that I don't think a 2 loss team should be ranked 2 when they have 1 loss teams in their conference ranked behind them. Is what it is, maybe next year the committee and Oregon will both have their shit together.

Playing field is certainly more wide open being able to directly pay for talent, gonna make for an interesting few years until they regulate it a bit more or something.

But that's a talent evaluation problem. I'm sure Lanning is addressing it but geography plays into that as well.

Coaching is the vital factor in CFB. You can land recruits and do nothing with them, like Clay Helton, or develop them into monsters, like Saban and Smart.

Saying that tex has one loss is just false under the current format. I get everything else to extent though.
