"donk_enby had originally intended to grab data only from the day of the Capitol takeover, but found that the poor construction and security of Parler allowed her to capture, essentially, the entire website. That ended up being 56.7 terabytes of data, which included every public post on Parler, 412 million files in all—including 150 million photos and more than 1 million videos. Each of these had embedded metadata like date, time and GPS coordinates—unlike most social media sites, Parler does not strip metadata from media its users upload, which, crucially, could be useful for law enforcement and open source investigators."

So its ok to hack sites and steal information along as it's for the socialist agenda and to continue to attack anything conservative

Russia hacks hilarys half assed security and it's worth a massive investigation but this is tolerated

Welcome to the age of oppression

The site wasn't hacked, they left their API's open to the world because they are retarded.

Whipe those hypocritical tears won't ya.

I remember you being proactively complicit in sharing, watching and analyzing leaks, photos and videos that helped to discredit the democratic candidate.

And seems this wasn't even a hack, it was public all along.
Did Hunter have a password on his laptop? If so then it makes that leak at least as questionable.

Slightly different when the laptop was left behind and not paid for. I'm sure there was a change of ownership and hunter was/is under investigation and that investigation was being supressed. Hes a pedo crackhead so I'm not worried about him being victimized

The parler hack or leak is being used against a private company for political points and could leak out data on potentially millions of people including GPS email birthdays and personal photos. Security was probably shit but they still have personal information that's not related to any criminal activity and some that may be related to criminal activity. Anyone that broke a law should be prosecuted including the person stealing private information

If tmmac was breached and your personal information was leaked especially cc if you purchased something or private messages with personal photos I'm sure there would be some repercussions. I'm sure master splinter has installed better security but it's still possible and would be an unfortunate incident for regular posters and mods

There should be repercussions, and the company behind parler should face those repercussions for leaving their API's PUBLIC, allowing anyone to create an admin account.

For sure. I just dont like the idea of regular ass people getting breached and possibly singled out due to being members of a conservative site. You wouldnt want photos of your wife and kid leaked with GPS coordinates because of your online activity. Just because it's a "hacktivists" doesnt mean their intention are pure

I wouldn't, that's why I don't use sites that aren't mature. In this instance you should be upset with parler themselves imo. They fucked up.

I never said anything out the hackers intentions, just that parler fucked up and left these things open to the public.

everyone would be up the Feds ass if they were trying to get Parler to turn over any of that info, even with a warrant.
Parler just said "no warrant needed".

Be pissed at Parler.

I never disagreed about their security. But in a way it's still not right for me to walk into your house just because the doors open

Close on the analogy but not really that accurate. It was PUBLIC, this isn't the equivalent of leaving your door unlocked and someone just walking in, this is the equivalent of you turning your house into a public restroom in San Francisco. And then saying well we are retarded and didn't know what a public restroom was.
