I would say all of it is on Putin.

If he hadn't started it, those people would be alive.

I don't take that source without a grain of salt
Any report could be false. But your reasoning is that because Putin is bad, a Greek media outlet, which previously savaged the Russians only a few days ago for killing ethnic Greeks, is falsely reporting about the conduct of the Azov Battalion, a well-documented neo-fascist and neo-nazi militia that heavily controls the city in question. That's pretty retarded reasoning.

My reasoning is that in the fog of war, any report should be put on the shelf until confirmed.

Calm your tits

it was a discussion point in a prior post here. so i threw out my understanding in case one of the few smart people here - such as the annoying dick-obssesed doctor - could inform me as to where my understanding was wrong and/or incomplete
Can't be a proxy war if one side is directly involved.

But almost all wars have some element of 'proxyiness', which is now a word.

In common usage, to take something with a 'grain of salt' is to assume it is likely untrue, although some people now bastardize it to just mean to 'be skeptical of it'.

I can't be blamed for taking the comment in its original and more common meaning.

Based on what we know about Azov, it is more logical to assume the report is more likely to be true than untrue, even if we should remain skeptical, yes.

Ukraine.
The the is now considered a relic used to remind everyone it's really little Russia and not independent, comrade.
Kind of like how 'The Texas' is now just where California dumps its second-rate tech workers and baristas.

I was going to call it Diet Russia but thought that was in poor taste. Given the specific context.

So let's speed up to the end- Putin takes Ukraine. It basically looks like Dresden now. He's still cut off from the international community, his population is rioting, and he's losing access to his funds.

Then what?
