“Safety”
Call it whatever you want. But if your government is going to roll the dice on you just living in a bomb shelter and maybe making it through or the mystery door, the mystery door becomes mighty tempting.

Finland says don’t do it!

Cut off the east and crime. Take the new united homogeneous population and join the EU.
Defer NATO membership for no sooner than 10 years with a promise that Ukraine will not host NATO troops or ABM shield.

Russia saves face. Crimea is put to rest. Dump the scapegoat region that Russia uses to invade. Join EU which Russia should have no issue with if their only interest is military (it's not). NATO topic kicked down the road to future leaders.

EU also has a mutual defence clause.

The evacuation route from Mariupol was mined. That's according to Dominik Stillhart, director of operations for the International Committee of the Red Cross. He spoke to BBC Radio 4 Today about the problems with the so-called humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from bombed-out Ukrainian cities.

The Red Cross talked for days with both sides, but the result was only agreements in principle, which were violated immediately because the roads were not precisely defined, nor who could cross them. He illustrates his words with an example. Officials of the International Red Cross, who were trying to leave Mariupol on Sunday on the approved route, realized that the road was actually mined.

did the UA sneak back into Mariupol through enemy lines and mine it? It’s the most likely scenario, right Sheepdog @Sheepdog

Diapers n stuff are almost sold out here right now, due to helpers buying it up to give to the Ukrainian moms and other refugees coming from there.
