Why does it look so shitty there?
Because it's derby, it is shit
Very mild weather, unusual for mid Michigan. Typically we've had a good couple of weeks in the nineties by now.

Cistern also runs on a water pump so we have a limited water supply.

The grid isn't as solid as we would like to believe
Add some stabilizer to the fuel and it can last much longer
I can't run my whole house, but I can run a few essential appliances/heaters/etc...For a week or two
