afghanistan was losing battle from the getco

they really don't have much options... US influenced government, tribal warlords, or the taliban. they all suck.

it doesn't matter when they do the withdraw, it would have been same story if they did it in 2001, 2008, 2014, or 2021, the Taliban will gain full power as soon as the US combat troop is gone.

what they should have focused is how to safely re-locate the personnels who fought alongside the US

it'll be interesting to see what will happen next few weeks or days, Taliban could inflict heavy casualty to the new troops who are supposed to be security for the remaining personnel and suck em right back into staying
the people who are in control have the support of China and Russia.

we're already gone and we ain't comin back

Why does there always have to be some moralizing pretext to our military adventures that the public must ingest that always somehow seems to make it acceptable, even desirable? Is this our messiah complex again where we must make Afghanistan safe for the Afghans etc?

I sure we we didn't have to do that every time. It's embarrassing.

Certainly morale.
The military families need to be on board with their young service members.
That and public opinion polls make the sham of fair elections seem legitimate.

But never fear brothers, the neocons have already selected their next target for regime change and that country is none other than Turkey. Before we know it we'll have completely forgotten all about this project and will have immersed ourselves in the next one, a country orders of magnitude larger and more powerful than Afghanistan.. John Bolton is already on the case and I have absolutely no doubt that this Turkey project will be every bit the smashing success that all of the other neocon regime change projects that have come before it have been.

With a foreign policy track record like the neocons have it is little wonder their ideas continue to shape US foreign policy. ;)

Oh geez.
Talk about over-extension.
That is a war that would crush us.
Our troops would be scratching their heads.
Did Boltbrain actually say this?
I mean, their economy is shot.
I can't even imagine what the point would be.
They're still "NATO" technically, no?

Despite banning science and teaching nothing but fairy tales, I think the Taliban religious schools will somehow still offer a better education than wherever the fuck some of you spastics seemingly went to school.

Oh you bet they're still in NATO. And he has done a lot more than just 'say it.' The machine is well in motion.

Just check out his twitter.

some key facts to consider...

CCP has mentioned in the past that they're trying drag US into 4 different wars

Biden has mentioned any US casualties by the Taliban will be met with significant firepower, (they upped troops to 6000 now)

sounds pretty easy to bring em right back
