Better than putting another American at risk. Drones work, kapow!
Agreed.
But I doubt we got the mastermind behind the coordinated attacks. This was symbolic. Which I'm fine with. I hope they do a few more today.

Only the boys know if they got their #1. I suppose maybe.
I'm right there. The Taliban is a group of complete assholes with the power to force everyone to do as they wish, a collective dictatorship. They don't need to live, the people they're oppressing do.

You know, he already has a strike against him because I hate oath breakers. Their word isn't worth a runny shit to me.

If it mentions in the article what information he related, and how that's verified, I'm missing it.

ETA, thank you for the source. Some folks make assertions they don't care to back up with anything.

sorry - the 90% comes from the change in policy that Obama instituted and that Trump subsequently expanded, it's based on the leak of information covering specific operations in Afghanistan. IIRC, it was later verified in the Afghanistan Papers that leadership at the DoD level was aware of the consequences to pushing a body-count measure of success. I appreciate you being so cordial in pointing out the gap in what I provided as a source.

Later, a whistleblower provided The Intercept with a cache of documents detailing the U.S. military’s drone killings in Afghanistan, Yemen, and Somalia. One campaign, Operation Haymaker, took place in northeastern Afghanistan. “Between January 2012 and February 2013,” The Intercept reported, “U.S. special operations airstrikes killed more than 200 people. Of those, only 35 were the intended targets. During one five-month period of the operation, according to the documents, nearly 90 percent of the people killed in airstrikes were not the intended targets.” That’s one campaign of many in just one country where drone killings happen.
