We used to do water fastings with Doctor mataleo.

I've done a 6 day and a 5 day one. I will post here so u guys can keep me accountable, looking to do a 4 day one in February.

IIRC, we were talking about your fasts on the old OG when you posted this pic showing me what you'd eat. You were fasting during the week and eating on the weekend when you dropped all that weight, right?

Correct, I was doing 5 day fasts and then eating non stop for 2

One data point that blew my mind was I was eating more in 2 days then I was when I had gone strict keto 6 years previously and the weight loss was the exact same. During keto I felt like I was starving eating 1800 calories a day while working out. While fasting I was eating well above that within a 2 day timeframe and never felt like I was starving.

Doc mataleo holds a very special place in my heart.

When I got packaged at work him and a few other very knowledgeable peoples helped me MAX OUT my package, walked me through how to contest it, find the right lawyer for just a brief consultation and , based on my case , almost double my package.

That extra amount then turned into stock at the time when I am He was telling the board AMC and all those stocks went crazy. And go crazy they did. mataleo bought and sold the same day, he clearly didnt need the GAMBOOL like some of us did lol

that dude Dave Portnoy also sold really fast, the swings were wild af , whatta time to be alive

I went from having very little RRSPs in my 30's to catching up to the pack in my 40's

I will never forget these people.

Dude, these results are nuts. Nearly 60lbs in 4 months is no joke...especially since that was AFTER 14 days & 20lbs. Unreal work. How much of it stayed off after you went to a more "normal" eating pattern?

And I can't remember - were you working out at all during this?

Step #1 - stop eating for at least 24 hours
Step #2 - repeat Step #1 as often as desired
Step #3 - supplement with electrolytes if repeating Step #1 for more than 2 days in a row

Simple as that, really. You can make it more complicated depending on what you're trying to do and why you're fasting.

e.g. - fasting strictly for fat loss can look a little different than fasting for say legit medical purposes

As far as "what goals to set"...dude, that's up to you. If you don't know what you're trying to accomplish (i.e. - what your goals are), then how should anyone else?

No, during the keto I was walking 5-10 miles a day and doing p90x3, probably why I was starving on 1800 calories a day.

I kind of maintained around 215-220, sitting around 235 right now after the last 6 months of debauchery

Best way is to eat keto for a week to get in a ketogenic state, then just stop eating and drinking water. Personally I would drink Mt Dew zero, coffee with splenda, bang energy drinks, gatorade zero etc.

I have a blood and breath keto monitor and I never saw an impact on my glucose or ketone level. Some people call it a dirty fast, whatever, it got me through. Hell people were drinking bone broth and eating spinach to get electrolytes on the OG thread.

Electrolyte becomes a thing the deeper you go, if I plan on going 14 or longer I will supplement potassium, sodium and magnesium. If I am just doing a 5 day rotation I have never had a need to supplement.

Ok. That helps. I've been thinking of doing keto again. So maybe I'll start that tomorrow and shoot for a fast the weekend after this one coming.
