Alves did very little in the first round and was getting out classed. The changes he made in the second of pressuring Mein to the cage, so he couldn't use his movement and get away from his combo's changed everything. Joe's commentary was on point.

I didnt think Alves even landed anything on the chin. But my feed cut out a couple times.

No, I disagree. Alves may not have done as much in the first and he definitely lost the first, but what he did do joe didn't mention because he was to busy fellating mein.
