I used to totally have a thing for Asian chicks. Until I worked with them and discovered their unabated disdain for us roundeyes. Physically speaking, I think Asians are beautiful. Im white as hell, American. My mothers family is Irish. My fathers side is German. Ive never had a problem with dating women of different culture/race/ethnic group/religion. Ive always had a thing for Hispanic women.

My wife is Hispanic from Guatemala and came to the states when she was 13. Our children are of "mixed race". I dont think of it like that. More like an inter-ethnic marriage. If thats a term.

I have to say, it doesn't sound like OP is a racist moron, it sounds similar to statements my Italian grandmother used to make. She didn't know any better, she was right off the boat. "Why are you friends with black people? Do you feel bad for them?" was a famous one. But she wasn't malicious, just had the normal racism of the day ingrained in her from birth and didn't live in a real integrated world. She probably didn't have a black person in her house until I brought @Kneeblock over to hang out in Junior HS.

Difficult question to answer. My intent wasn't to be racist or skirt TOS, but rather state that I would rather avoid the baggage that comes with such a relationship. Family, friends, on both sides, are going to have some questions about it. Not everyone, but there will always be someone who will go out of the way to make you the outsider.

Are you married? Do you realize that its going to be awkward with the inlaws, BECAUSE YOU ARE AN OUTSIDER? It's normal even in same race marriages. My mother in law hates me. Not because I'm white but because I stand up to pee. She would hate me if her and I were the same Ethnic group.

In every relationship these things occur. Its how you and your significant other respond and deal with it. You might just be experiencing cultural differences. It could have nothing to do with race or ethnic group.


I do agree with some of the things you said. If that how you feel, feel it. I dont think its racist to think that. Even if it were, that would be your way of thinking. Nobody should tell you how to think, even on the internet. But still need to follow site tos.
