@conor mcgregor nut hugger
first of all rankings are stupid, and definitely, Conor was way more impressive in the way he won the belt.
if Conor went through a similar scenario to Khabib's, and won the belt the same way, I'd talk shit because if Conor goes the distance, that's not how he usually fights, he usually KO's people. So, criticism would be fair IMO.
in Khabib's situation, he's still undefeated, 26-0, and like it or not, Khabib did the same thing he did to all of 25 opponents. He might have gassed and deviated little bit during 3rd and 4th, but he won every round, how HE ALWAYS DOES.
not to mention the cluster fuck that happened was pretty much initiated by Conor's actions.
but that's only one aspect of this whole thing.
Khabib's undefeated while winning the belt, in that department, Khabib's better.
Holloway defended his featherweight belt, so in that sense, Holloway's better in that department.
Ferguson went 10-0 in the division to win the title vs Conor's 6-0, so Tony's better in that department.
I don't hate Conor, I always want to watch him fight. I'm just disappointed for him not fighting, holding up the division, thinking he's above everyone else. I get it, he's the biggest draw, most valued fighter in the entire UFC, and holding out for better payout and all that but if he really wants to do his own thing, just opt out and start his own promotion, why all this raucous?
