You got through Imajica? That's impressive. Took me forever. It's only the fact I'm a pig headed wanker I got through it.Let me list the ones I've read to make this less painful
- The Damnation Game
- Weaveworld
- Cabal
- The Great and Secret Show
- Everville
- Imajica
- The Thief of Always
- Galilee
- Books of Blood 1 & 2
boredom is a great motivator, I read a lot from 10 to 20 but then I discovered computers and had a 15 year breakYou got through Imajica? That's impressive. Took me forever. It's only the fact I'm a pig headed wanker I got through it.
I've read all of them. I really am a Barker whore. I didn't do his kid books and haven't read everything, but most.
I'm pretty sure mine was the whole thing but I don't know now, I bought most of my books second hand pre-internet.Hang on, Imajica was in two parts, right?
Did you see I quoted you on that other thread.I'm pretty sure mine was the whole thing but I don't know now, I bought most of my books second hand pre-internet.
When I said I've read all of them, I meant on your list not everything he's ever written.boredom is a great motivator, I read a lot from 10 to 20 but then I discovered computers and had a 15 year break![]()
yeah and laughing at youDid you see I quoted you on that other thread.
I am laughing very much
Where is it now? Did you lend it to someone? I have a massive self destruct thing...lending people books and stationery.my copy of Imajica had this artwork but not sure if it was hard back or paper back

of course, Quiddity (it has 2 D's) and that little creep with the erection Kissoon! When I said I've read all of them, I meant on your list not everything he's ever written.
I'm full of tattoos but I really would love a Barker one, I've been thinking for like 15 years what to do. Unless I meet him and can work out Quidity I doubt I will. Remember Quidity?
I had a breakdown about how I'd wasted my life and filled a wheel barrow with my books and dumped em all in the skipWhere is it now? Did you lend it to someone? I have a massive self destruct thing...lending people books and stationery.
Get it back!
Like I said Imajica was a hard slog but the juice and squeeze etc.
Cabal was a good first read to get me involved.
Oh, mateyI had a breakdown about how I'd wasted my life and filled a wheel barrow with my books and dumped em all in the skipI was probably 19 at the time though I think my copy of The Great and Secret Show is on a shelf at my brothers.
I still wish I could undo it but thankfully I have a kindle now and can download anything for free.Oh, matey
I've given my mother in law a bunch of easy read books that I buy at an airport sort of stuff with no emotional attachment but I have, when I say thousands I mean thousands of books in storage.
my grandpa always bought me a WH Smiths voucher for my birthday. It wasn't down to lack of imagination, it was down to him loving how much of a book worm I was.
I haven't got around to Warhammer yet. Considering you know my book taste now, would I like it?I still wish I could undo it but thankfully I have a kindle now and can download anything for free.
Still reading my way through the Horus Heresy from Warhammer 40k universe, there's over 50 books in this series written by various authors
the problem is the novels aren't well written, it's just that I love the universe and wanted to read more about it. The Horus Heresy is basically a prequel of a story we already know the ending to (as well as many other details) but this is the first time they are actually telling the stories that shaped the universe into what it is now. I would consider it light reading really, I'm already on book 34 I think.I haven't got around to Warhammer yet. Considering you know my book taste now, would I like it?
Talking of my grandpa considering how posh he was I found a lot of Herbert and King in his books after he passed away. I was really impressed that his horizons were that vast.
I, after reading The Cell, thought that he wrote like a child, he was so lazy during that book.the problem is the novels aren't well written, it's just that I love the universe and wanted to read more about it. James Herbert was alright, he wrote some very memorable sick shit like The Dark, but Stephen King writes epics comparatively speaking.
