I've built many. 10.5 or 11.5 is the way you want to go you're thinking about using it for HD. 300 blackout could be interesting if you're using subsonic ammo, again in the HD sense. I've spent a bunch of time with Daniel Defense MK18's and they're great, 5.56 though. But DD will more than happily sell you a MK18 barrel for a build.Anyone have experience building AR's
Got a complete lower made.
But having trouble deciding on an Upper.
What Caliber.
556 or 300 Blackout
And what length.
10.5 , 11.5 , or 16.
I'm looking for a range toy that can go into my home defense rotation.
Hear really good things about the 11.5.
Jack of trades.
And 556 since it's relatively cheap to play/practice with.
And has good options for rounds.
What say you TMMAC Gunners?
Keltec? I'm very disappointed in you.I have a Keltec bullpup and a sig Sauer P320 I keep for invasions from Canada.
I'm kidding of course. I don't have any guns. What am I, a barbarian?Keltec? I'm very disappointed in you.
Nah. You're too pretty for that barbarian life.I'm kidding of course. I don't have any guns. What am I, a barbarian?

My dad had a Kimber 1911 I shot a few times. I don't know the difference between the brand's but it seemed nice.
This is my favorite handgun. Volkmann combat custom
To get the right cheek weld for youWhy does that bit on the stock of bergara pop up @psychicdeath
I got a 10/22 takedown...sweet machineHere's what I had pictures of on my computer. I may be forgetting one or two offhand. For instance I also have a SCCY 9 mm that's a piece of crap. It works OK, but it's cheaply made and the heavy double action only trigger sucks. Basically a truck gun.
Ruger 10/22, .22 LR
Browning Buckmark Medallion, .22 LR
Remington 870, 12 gauge
Ruger AR 556, 5.56 mm
WASR-10, 7.62 mm x 39 mm and SIG M-400 Tread, 5.56 mm
Bergara HMR, 6.5 mm Creedmoor
M-1 Garand, .30-06
Glock 21, .45 ACP; Walther CCP, 9 mm; S&W Bodyguard 380, .380 ACP
To adjust the height of the cheek position. There are also spacers to take out/put in to adjust the length. I keep them all in since I'm fairly big.Why does that bit on the stock of bergara pop up @psychicdeath
