Sozzles, Fingers, the John Wick movies are awesome escapism fun in the same way that Jason Statham movies are escapism fun. None are winning any oscars but they're massively entertaining.
I watched "The Biggest Little Farm" the other day. Although I rolled my eyes at some of the ignorance on the part of the farmers, and didn't like that they cleaned up the rawest, and probably most important things for people to see. I'd still give it a 7.5/10.
Jason Statham films are great. They don't dupe the audience. They give a knowing wink to the audience that it's ridiculous and fun.
Uncut gems remains the most hateful film I've ever seen bar son of Saul. But at least that had a message and was an important film.
Son of Saul sounds really depressing, I will give Uncut a go though. Sandler in a serious role in Click was great, I won't ever be able to watch it again becauseI had something in my eye but he was really good.
