I wish that were true. You only need 60 or 70% infected to get enough herd immunity to drastically slow it down.

There are a few reports of people in China being released having overcome the virus being readmitted and then dying. Possible that they were just released too early, but also possible that they recaught the disease as it mutated. Unclear to me which from the twitter chatter I've seen on it, but I'm hopeful it's the former and not the later.

And if you check, Trump did say that anyone who needs a test will get one but the boots on ground suggest that is in fact not true. I’m not saying Trump doesn’t have bad info etc, maybe folks are feeding him bad info but, it does stand that he has spoken those words and many many folks are claiming they’ve been denied tests.

This is one situation where I’m really not trying to be partisan about. I know it’s not easy to deal with something like this at their level (or all levels really) but he likes to say stupid shit before he’s sure he can back it up. I just wish he was a better public speaker instead of just saying the silliest shit all of the time. Believe me, I want him to do the right things here. I want us to take care of this as best as possible. We’re in a national crisis of sorts and I’ll gladly stand behind those who are for doing the right things but I just haven’t felt that comfort level from him or his team. Pence did have a few good press conferences that proved he can at least sound good at the podium so that was refreshing.
