A week ago, New York state had 87 detected coronavirus cases per 1m citizens

Here's where Southern states are *today*... the number of *detected* cases.

LA: 298 per 1m
MS: 107 per 1m
TN: 98 per 1m
GA: 98 per 1m
AR: 72 per 1m
FL: 66 per 1m
SC: 59 per 1m
AL: 44 per 1m



Now understand where New York is today:



There's obviously some population density issues here, but this is largely nothing more than international airports and early seeding.
Also Louisiana is crazy.

Also Georgia isn't doing any real testing. Like 1/3 of anyone else.

Yeah it's a shame that in States like GA, where testing is pretty much non existent, the only accurate report of how many people have it will come from autopsy reports
