this lady from youtube says that a drug called Diamox has a better chance of treating/curing patients suffering from breathing difficulties due to corona than ventilators

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rzu1AJRZJEI&feature=emb_logo
I've been watching this shitshow unfold...

NYC doc Sidell reads Italian papers. He rightfully recognized that he is seeing what they saw and buys into their findings. No problem. This is already a growing camp and the Italians are releasing observation papers that are helping those that haven't seen this stuff yet.

NYC doc makes himself famous with panicked sounding video even though he doesn't say anything and doesn't just say what he means (except on his twitter if you follow him!) which that he supports the Italian findings. He doesn't even mention having read the Italian editorial that spurred his video. Maybe this video was out of context, whatevs. It's become a favorite of the pseudo-doctor tinfoil crowd that is sure there's a coverup. Just go read the yo tube comments to his video and all the commentary reposting. Guy is smart but OG video is stupid because it just complains about needing a new paradigm. He had previously expanded specifics on other youtube webinar and twitter. He isn't inventing or finding something new. He is supporting the Italian findings in his own observations.

Now this video...Follow that up with a nobody that took his abridged comment panicked video where he makes a layman comparison to perfusion problems = HAPE.

How do you know she's a nobody promoting herself and not actually pushing the finding: "
Did she find the missing link for a Coronavirus treatment? Her brain fluid leak led her right to it!"

She references herself in a clickbait titles. SHE = The poster. Ava Green. She is a smart youtuber and that's how she has 2 million views in 2 days. But she isn't doing anything new other than viral clickbait.

This is just google jumping topics complete with her tone about, "I don't know why they aren't talking about this?!!?!"

First off you don't treat HAPE with diamox. It's a prophylaxis. If you had HAPE and I couldn't have you descend right away, you know what you would get? oxygen and a ventilator.

Secondly, using it as an adjunct has been discussed but only because there be some hemoglobin curve shifts with this disease. The drug adjusts acid base balance in critically ill patients which might be bad and also doesn't do anything for many of the observed and theorized processes that cause ventilator dependency in coronavirus patients.

You good?
I'm as well as you and I both are I think, lovey. Not nice times, is it? I wasn't on the list as a mental patient, just some other medical stuff...which is why I thought it was so lovely that she's phoning around people to check if they're okay.

Are you doing okay? Thank you for asking :)

As best as can be expected. Doing a lot of cardio. I did 3 hours on our spin bike yesterday. Burned over 2k calories. If I’m going to be out of my job, at least I can work on bringing my resting heart rate down. I was supposed to start my new job on Apr 28th, but they moved it back another week. More time to make gains.

I think it was the gloves.
They do look a bit dopey.

When I'm in the mood I eat like you won't believe, and my exercise has gone off the charts lack thereof so well done. I thinkit's remarkable with what you've had to go through and what's going to happen, and I really admire that you got straight back on the case work wise.

I haven't really been much of a fitness fanatic for a while anyway, I bought one elliptical and sold it, made the same mistake again.

If my tennis club opens again I'd like to get back into that to sustain the amount of Haagen Dazs I consume, but at this point I really don't give much of a toss.

Well, the gloves aren't really a necessity unless you change them often. You'd only spread shit around with those, while hands, you could wash, and use hand sanitizer, etc.
I ran out of TP

out back digging holes and spraying down with hose

we ran out of masks 5 weeks back...been using Fig leaves last few weeks, I fasten them with hemp twine

a car came by and I had to dive behind a bush, fucking sketchy moment for sure

I ate 3 crickets today, surprisingly palatable

I change them often, I only really venture out once a week and only wear them then but I have spray sanitizer for the boot of the car button, door handles, steering wheel etc.
I sat out with some friends yesterday and I didn't wear either but for 90% of the time we kept our distance.

I was still spraying the handles to get into the pool area, my car looks like a fingerprint crime scene what with the sanitizer and latex gloves prints.

Why can't they develop vaccine for common cold, but trying to develop a vaccine for covid 19.
They are from the same family.

Doing my swede in too, I just want to roll around in my own filth for a day and say bugger it :D
I can live with my filth, but if I walk down the store then I use one hand to take out the money and carry the stuff. Then back home I need to spray every shit I touched. I wash packets of biscuits, cornflour or any other shit. Too complex.

probably the same reason your brother is so successful and you're such a disappointment to your mother.

You want to hear some great news? There is a very good chance they will never develop a vaccine for Covid 19. People are acting like it's a foregone conclusion and that it's just a matter of time, but this belies the fact that there has never been a vaccine for a coronavirus.

Why a coronavirus vaccine may never be found

I'm not saying they won't create a vaccine - they very possibly will and what the fuck do I know anyway? - I just know that there are some experts cautioning that it might not happen. The fact that there has never been a coronavirus vaccine gives credence to that. I'm sure at some point in the future they'll come up with something, it just depends on whether or not that point is so far into the future as to meaning diddly shit.

Not working for me now either. You're not missing much. It's just quoting a legit viral expert saying a vaccine may not be found. But Splinty can point you to a bunch that say it will be.

You're more stringent than I am. I feel pretty inept now, and I reckonI'm doing more cleanliness than most.

They are overstating things.
The real reason for lack of vaccine is funding...and oh yeah, well there are vaccines that probably work that just haven't finished trials because wtf would I fast track something as rare as a MERS vaccine.

Scientists were close to a coronavirus vaccine years ago. Then the money dried up.
