ya that is the problem...obviously it shouldn't be a primary self defense gun due to capacity

I think .410 only holds 4 balls of 00 Buck

but if you go to smaller stuff it will spread out enough to cover a huge area even at shorter range(hickok45 did a demo on those bond arms 2 rounders)...obviously it loses self defense usefulness with the smaller shot

I have one but haven't tested that out yet...maybe I will post some comparison pics of different shot

He rang his gong a few times with the .45LC, so that was kinda cool
The 2 1/2 inch 00 buck I got has 3 pellets. It looks pretty gnarly at close range. I think I got some 4 shot staggered in there 2 shells deep.

Thought about one for my SIG AR-15, but went with a Holosun instead. The specs and features were pretty much identical, and I found the Holosun on sale for about $40 less than the SIG Romeo 5 at the time.

How do you like the holosun? Right now I'm considering the new Leupold Freedom Red Dot, or something from the Romeo line. One thing that concerns me is the field of view looks like it'd be very small on the Romeo's.
I'll be using the guns for hunting hogs, which tend to scramble after the first one takes one straight to the dome so being able to see a larger area through the scope is beneficial.

i had a Burris LER that had a ridiculous FOV. How much magnification do you need?

1x is fine for these guns, they will be suppressed 300 BO pistols with a 9.5 inch barrel. I'd be surprised if I shot at a live target past 100 yards. I'm debating just getting a nice set of iron sights.

I like the Holosun fine, but yeah, if it's something where a wider field of view is needed, I could see that being a problem. Maybe an open reflex red dot would be better than a closed system. Something along the lines of a Leupold Delta Point Pro, SIG Romeo 1, or Holosun 510C.

I've looked at the delta point, but I think that'd be better suited for my mark 4 than an AR. I'll look into the other 2 though.

My best friend just made me some beautiful wood grips for my 1911. He made them out of African Wenge. Really classes her up.

Ruger makes a nice product imo. 16.8 inches seems a bit short for 308, but it's a scout rifle, so it's kind of the point. I'm sure it shoots just fine.

Thanks for the input
Saw that they copied the Mauser Bolt

other than the action what do you think?
I like Ruger's, that includes their action. I wasn't saying that as a criticism, just mentioning it. If you're used to push feeds, you'll think the action is binding when you go to cycle it. It's not, just needs some gusto.
