I rarely see somebody using the mask properly. Does that matter to you?I'm avoiding all places where I see they are not wearing gloves and masks. At the same time I wanna help keeping em alive. Still it definitely has gotten less.
We need not to give a fuck about these semantics. We will all probably get it or have gotten it at some point. If we die, we die. We cant lose our freedom over something that might or might not happen to usI get heating the food itself to "sterilize" it
but....
-The packaging/containers
-The exchange of the packaging/containers
-The paper/plastic bag, the air inside the paper bag
-everything that was touched by another human that isn't hot seems to be a risk for those who are adamant about managing risk
Thanks for the response.
I just see lots of contradicting behaviors from people and was curious where and why people were drawing the "line".
Yes, on the couple of occasions we have gotten prepared foods, we have removed the food from its containers before heating and washed our hands. We are in a hot zone, so we are very careful about that.I get heating the food itself to "sterilize" it

are you taking an online university class and you mistakenly posted an essay on this forum that was meant for your professor?Yes, on the couple of occasions we have gotten prepared foods, we have removed the food from its containers before heating and washed our hands. We don't interact directly with delivery people and don't order restaurant delivery. My husband picked up food a couple of times from a place he is very familiar with. The staff there was on top of this from the beginning. They wear masks and face shields and even provide gloves to customers if someone needs them. My husband always practices social distancing and wears his mask.
It's not something we do often. I am a good cook so we don't suffer without restaurants. But I do feel for them. I donate money every week, it mainly goes to a local food pantry, but I do feel I have to protect my family.
It doesn't matter if you're healthy or not, if you get this virus and survive you can be affected for life, and there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence that anyone is immune. We know children survive it, but we don't know how their lives will be impacted later. I have also heard about young children whose parents have both died. It's very sad.
NY is definitely a tough place to be right now, but people are already starting to ignore it and are going back to eat at restaurants and things like that.
I definitely understand people in more remotes areas or areas that aren't heavily affected taking more risks than we are.
IMO they were so busy figuring out how to get money to the wrong people they didn't address the realities of what was really needed - assistance to states and local governments and utilities to make up for property tax and utility bill relief, to make up for rent relief/suspending all evictions. Banks and mortgage relief as well, and supporting food programs. We could have gotten through a longer lockdown period and hopefully gotten rid of this thing.
All of my other relatives in the tri-state area are in favor of us being careful and are supportive of not having in person visits if that is our decision, even though they want us to visit. Only the ones I posted about are giving us a hard time.
Freedom also involves giving a fuck about this. So stop infringing on it by telling people they "need" to not give a fuck.We need not to give a fuck about these semantics. no, freedom means that everyone chooses if they want to stay home scared or go outside. If you dont want to catch it from me, dont come near me. Its as simple as that.Freedom also involves giving a fuck about this. So stop infringing on it by telling people they "need" to not give a fuck.

It does, of course it's not that easy to find out. But just asking goes a long way. And normally the good restaurants have explanations in writings somewhere how they handle it.I rarely see somebody using the mask properly. Does that matter to you?
The stores and restaurants I have been to have employees using all forms of mask and many are barely on their faces or being messed with every minute...gloves aren't changed between customers...same mask used for days in a row...etc..
To me it seems more symbolic use more than proper and protective use.
In many locations they seem to be a false security blanket because of these reasons.
It is interesting.
Totally agree about supporting my favorite small restaurants, I am prioritizing my spending to only go to small businesses and markets.
Stopped going to Costco entirely and now only use the smaller markets...cost me a few more bucks but that doesn't matter to me.
can you get an avatar? It does, of course it's not that easy to find out. But just asking goes a long way. And normally the good restaurants have explanations in writings somewhere how they handle it.
“Yes, but your right to swing your arm leaves off where my right not to have my nose struck begins.”Freedom refers to the individual only. Put on a mask if you're gonna go out in public you filthy fucks. Your freedom doesn't mean you can put me at risk.
I've stayed safe. I've been responsible. And I don't have COVID-19.
I can't say the same about your filthy asses
ok, and what about people who live in countries where there are less than 30 people dead from this? Should they blindly obey some nonsense that who or whoever says? There is a difference. You americans are fucked, I am sad to say, because there is a lot of you. But to implement the same drastic measures in a place, where no one is dying and hasnt died in over two months, as where people are getting infected on the daily basis? No, thank you. You keep your virus, I am going to live my lifeFreedom refers to the individual only. Put on a mask if you're gonna go out in public you filthy fucks. this is ridiculous. Sooner or later EVERYONE WILL CATCH IT. You are delaying the inevitable. Let people live their lives. How can someone advocate for such a thing? This thing is never going to go away. We are stuck with it. We cant let our daily lives be ruined because of something that can kill a few bunch of people. The humanity would be in ruins. Is this so the democrats get their way and will be able to vote through mail?Well.. ....
While you people are setting records, California is thinking of making a bigger move: Going back into lockdown.
