I thought we went through this already. Advertisement of stopping the Bigger particles in the atmosphere is because the bigger ones are....well in common terms....strong enough to penetrate the mask. SMALLER particles bounce off, for fuck's sake. (Or get trapped to or stick to the outside)

Anything, and I mean anything, that disrupts the flow of particles (and scatters them) will help. Is it foolproof? No. Are some masks better than others? Yes. But anything helps.

I didn't say don't wear mask or take precautions...I said it is a false sense of security when somebody thinks the cotton or surgical mask with open sides is gonna stop all particles and they stop distancing/washing hands etc.

Other masks don't have that characteristic though do they? That is why the more expensive HVAC air filters work so much better, the cheap ones are a joke for cleaning air in my experience.

Jk. The lockdown hasn't changed my family much. We do outdoor things all summer. But I am sad about the locally owned businesses shutting down.
The ones that are opening are afraid because dumb asses want to come in without masks.
And the other half are afraid because they have to wear a mask. I truly do not understand this.
But if we have to move on with life, let's at least do what we can to help others feel some sense of safety. Even if it isn't perfect. Let's don't perpetuate the fear!
