Yes.@@Splinty is the Abbott test an antigen test?
It was introduced under the premise of creating "good" citizens who will do as their told to keep society in good working order. This is why the government is who decides what is taught. I imagine the history in Europe is similar but I've never bothered to look into it.Nope
Your point being? It was introduced under the premise of creating "good" citizens who will do as their told to keep society in good working order. This is why the government is who decides what is taught. I imagine the history in Europe is similar but I've never bothered to look into it.
Before I respond, would you opine that the government acts in the best interest of the people, or that the government acts in the interest of pleasing enough people to stay in power?Your point being?
You wrote a concise and very strong statement without any qualifications. Before I respond, would you opine that the government acts in the best interest of the people, or that the government acts in the interest of pleasing enough people to stay in power?
i think the retardation is minor and temporary. The health impacts of rampant COVID are severe and irreversible. That was primarily their concern prior to the pandemic, during the pandemic their concern quickly shifted. It's worth noting I don't live somewhere particularly hard hit.
Now that restrictions have started to loosen and kids are going back to school many of them have in fact had their social skills retarded. Compounding this issue is that everything you're supposed to teach a young child is banned under covid protocols.
There's no reason to believe that's true.i think the retardation is minor and temporary.
Very true. The health impacts of rampant COVID are severe
We don't really know that.and irreversible.
there's plenty of evidence of young people having minor hiccups in their social development, say for an extended illness, and going on to lead normal lives. We don't really know that.
Virtually every kid in western society has been mostly segregated from their peers for the last 8 months. That's not a "minor hiccup". I understand that you feel very strongly about the threat covid presents, and that's justified, but in the case of a 2-3 year old child for example, you're talking about a very significant portion of their lives. You can acknowledge that both covid is a serious problem and that locking people in their homes, away from others isn't a long term solution.there's plenty of evidence of young people having minor hiccups in their social development, say for an extended illness, and going on to lead normal lives.
Reversible? No. Common? Also, no as far as I'm aware.lung transplants...reversible?
brain damage...reversible?
