Virtually every kid in western society has been mostly segregated from their peers for the last 8 months. That's not a "minor hiccup". I understand that you feel very strongly about the threat covid presents, and that's justified, but in the case of a 2-3 year old child for example, you're talking about a very significant portion of their lives. You can acknowledge that both covid is a serious problem and that locking people in their homes, away from others isn't a long term solution.
