@Splinty is the Abbott test an antigen test?

Yes.

It was introduced under the premise of creating "good" citizens who will do as their told to keep society in good working order. This is why the government is who decides what is taught. I imagine the history in Europe is similar but I've never bothered to look into it.

Your point being?

That was primarily their concern prior to the pandemic, during the pandemic their concern quickly shifted. It's worth noting I don't live somewhere particularly hard hit.

Now that restrictions have started to loosen and kids are going back to school many of them have in fact had their social skills retarded. Compounding this issue is that everything you're supposed to teach a young child is banned under covid protocols.

i think the retardation is minor and temporary. The health impacts of rampant COVID are severe and irreversible.

there's plenty of evidence of young people having minor hiccups in their social development, say for an extended illness, and going on to lead normal lives.

Virtually every kid in western society has been mostly segregated from their peers for the last 8 months. That's not a "minor hiccup". I understand that you feel very strongly about the threat covid presents, and that's justified, but in the case of a 2-3 year old child for example, you're talking about a very significant portion of their lives. You can acknowledge that both covid is a serious problem and that locking people in their homes, away from others isn't a long term solution.

lung transplants...reversible?
brain damage...reversible?

Reversible? No. Common? Also, no as far as I'm aware.

Lockdowns serve government interests better than anything since the second world war.
So, where are we with the elaboration on this?

I realize above I said without qualifications. But you made one with the after ww2 thingy. Which is actually pretty interesting, so apologies for that.
I still don't understand your thoughts behind it though.
