Seriously though masons use them in the winter to speed up the drying/cure time for the grout. Quick passes will work, don’t overheat it or you’ll crack the bricks. Stay away from anything combustible like vinyl siding, window frames etc.

Freezing rain can be a very destructive, hope it isn't too much for the trees and power lines to bear.
We had Freezing rain 2 times over the last 3 years and I am still getting some tree work from those storms.
Hoping it warms up ASAP there so you guys can start the healing and rebuilding of broken shit.

We’re lucky enough to be at a friend’s house.... my wife, our dog and me. We’re good. We have this place to ourselves. We have it for as long as we need it.
Our poor house has been without power for right at 36 hours now. I drove over this morning. I’m afraid a bunch of stuff will be ruined. Some pipes are frozen.
Big picture.... we’re good. Anything ruined is just property. We’re lucky enough to have the means to not have to fret it too much. There are a lot of people not so fortunate.

Before the temp gets above freezing, make sure you kill the main water line.
An unpressurized broken pipe will leak a little as the ice thaws. A pressurized broken pipe is like having a pressure washer cut loose in your house.
