You're not answering my qeestion. What is the difference between eating something that's still alive and looking at you scared for its life as you bite down on it compared to something that, for instance died an hour before it landed on your plate? Taste wise, I mean.
You think a shrimp or urchin brain comprehends what's going on? Again, this is how it is served. Perhaps next time at a sushi restaurant I'll ask if they have any leftover amaebi or sea urchin that someone didn't finish, then try that shit out of their trash that someone's breathed all over with the fresh product that they serve. I'll need to get back to you with results.

I had green ketchup once. Tasted normal but it was green.

I ate carp from a drainage canal

shot it with bow

barely seasoned it and the dirty water came thru in the flesh


could cook it better nowadays but not sure it would be worth it

Rather take a half day and catch some salmon, steelhead, or trout.
