Was just reading an article about how deceptive Trevor Bauer's pitches are. He definitely seems like a smart guy who is passionate about constantly improving.

I can only imagine how relieved he is to be out of Cincinnati...

He loved it here. Cy Young winner.

Dude is a machine. He's fun to watch pitch. Crazy spin rates. The bite on his curve is nasty.

Gerrit "Too Cole for school" was lights out today. Oh my! The Yankees get a win over Tampa thanks to Aaron "solid as a brick" Hicks sac fly who brought in ""Don't call me Wilson" Phillips.

The Yankees win
The Yankees win

Hold on.

I’ve been in England for many years and have seen very little baseball, however, I’m still very intelligent.

Is this ohtani guy hitting homeruns and throwing 100 mph with a low era?

Or am I really drunk?

Following the no hitter for Detroit over Seattle last night, Corey Kluber throws his own no hitter tonight with a 2-0 Yankees win over Texas. This is the first no hitter of his career.

That's six no-no's thrown throughout the league this season.

Also, the Rangers gave away Corey Kluber bobbleheads in a Rangers uniform tonight at the stadium.

Could be. I just hope MLB doesn't try to mess with the game on the off season to make it more hitter friendly because dingers sell tickets.
I think they move the mound back.

Although the shit hitting has more to do with a focus on HRs and launch angle than it does with pitching being any better than in year's past. Hitters don't give a shit if they strikeout anymore.

Chicks dig the long ball.

That's exactly what I don't want to happen.
Same.
But i think that's the easiest "fix"
There's also some scuttlebutt about lowering the mound.

The Atlantic League is trying it out this year. They moved the mound back 12".

They are also using automated ball/strike tech.

And a modified DH - where the DH is in effect until the starting pitcher exits, after that the relief pitchers either hit for themselves or are pinch hit for.

I'd actually be for a the automated pitch call. Umps are too inconsistent. Boo to the rest of that.

I like the auto ump as well.

As a NL fan, I'm not a huge fan of the DH but I know it's going to be a thing. But what they are proposing doesn't help. The NL strategy of planning around a pitcher will still be gone. Relievers never hit anyway.
