Potatoes need to be more popular. They are diverse and delicious.
I have a 10 x 5 bed that is stacked with 6 different types of tatos ready to harvest right meow...got some super dark purple ones which is cool

Probably 50-80 lbs I reckon

We never get thru them all so a portion goes back in the soil to create next years crop

My father was the cook in the family and he is a total potato nut. So for years after leaving home I hardly touched a potato, I simply had too much of em. I don't even like fries or chips.

But slowly I'm coming back around, and I'm making mean mashed potatoes as well.

Baby backs with a homemade spicy and sweet rub with honey powder and a doctored sauce. Unfortunately, I had to take them off earlier than I would have liked so they weren’t as tender as I normally prefer.

I grew up on those dishes
I grew up on powdered milk and bread sandwiches.
The woods was our food; salmonberries, thimbleberries, blackberries, huckleberries, apples, apricots, pears, plums and wild honey.
It's why I'm cute & cuddly like a bear.

Backyard blackberries getting utilized, cobbler.





I like red wine on cool nights, hefe & lemon in a tall frosty on hot summer nights.
Bonfires, bbq's , beans, bullets, and applying bandaids.
And I LOVE to listen to workplace rumors on long beach walks.
