Heard they were not paying the soldiers.
Its unbelievable that army backed by super power of the world and 3 times larger than taliban.
300,000 vs 75,000 got defeated so quickly.
Talibans trained by Pakistan and Afghan army trained by USA.
Yeah they were said to get a twentyfold or so pay raise if they defected to the Taliban.

The whole country is sort of a giant slush fund. Palaces like the Uzbek warlord Rashid Dostum's that I posted pictures of a page or two back are common around Kabul it is said.

Fox News Host Confronts Mike Pompeo Over His Role in 'Failed' Afghanistan Withdrawal
"But I have to say, it isn't just President Biden who says this. When we announced that you were going to be a guest on this program, a former top military commander in Afghanistan and a current top Republican member of Congress both talked about the deal that the Trump administration and you negotiated back in 2020 with the Taliban, to pull out all U.S. forces," Wallace told Pompeo.

The Fox News host then played a clip of Trump defending the planned withdrawal of all U.S. troops from Afghanistan while he was still president.

"Basically we're policemen right now. And we're not supposed to be policemen. We've been there for 19 years in Afghanistan. It's ridiculous," Trump said in that clip at the White House.

"Critics say that for the U.S.to cut a deal with the Taliban without the Afghan government even in the room was hugely demoralizing and led inevitably to where we are today," Wallace said.

Pompeo insisted that this assessment was "simply not true." The former secretary of state also said that Wallace should "go read the deal, go read the conditions that were built into the deal." He asserted that the "Afghans were in the room."

If from Afghanistan and can confirm there were none of us or myself in the room.

Have we heard from Biden yet?
Will his handlers let him have a live presser?

some key facts to consider...

CCP has mentioned in the past that they're trying drag US into 4 different wars

Biden has mentioned any US casualties by the Taliban will be met with significant firepower, (they upped troops to 6000 now)

sounds pretty easy to bring em right back
it's politically untenable. The narrative now is "20 years for what?"

Pres Biden isn't going to come up with a comprehensive plan to win Afghanistan in the next 3 weeks.

He couldn't come up with a comprehensive meal plan for his dog Major in 3 weeks, he's not going back to Afghanistan.
His only out is to do it now and plan the preceding 4 Presidents for the clusterfuck. If he pushes troops back, it's HIS clusterfuck.

Trump said if the taliban got outta line we would go back and settle them down. There were conditions for the taliban to follow, You didnt see them acting up during trump. Biden is and always was a weak leader.

Soon as joe came in the taliban knew it was gonna be easy. They take over Afghanistan during bidens time, just like russia took over u
crimea during Obama's time.

Meanwhile joe is begging OPEC for gas after giving up american energy independence

Damn. I don’t know what is more sad, the scene over there or the lack of vulnerability in this thread. Regardless of political affiliation, anyone who can’t admit each “team” has significant culpability in this mess, they are part of the problem. This goes far beyond any single administration or party. If you can’t see that then it might be time to change your view.
