Whew!

I understand, though. A fuckton of people moved to Florida, as well, and even though I want to get out, I want them to get out while I am still here. :tearsofjoy:
They screwed up their own state. I don't want them screwing up mine. We're doing a fine job of that on our own.

A lot of "influencers" moved out of LA and I know a decent amount landed in Seattle.
My friend and her husband moved from Chicago to Shoreline last year, though, so I don't know how you guys feel about that.

Chicago people tend to be fine (aka not hippies, we have enough of those). Also, Shoreline is a nice area.

They have "nice area" money, and they're definitely not hippies. She is a Floridian, though, so be careful.
I am really excited to visit them at some point and explore Seattle, though. So many foods to eat and so little time.

Most people who use the term 'tripping' have no clue. None.

Was talking with an old friend about how much LSD we ate in the late 80's.
A lot, in varied forms, usually blotter acid.

I went to the googlies and actually found an image of a blotter acid I recall taking, was very strong.

Didn't quite look as I recalled, but Evil Clown was great for blotter.

Strawberries were one of the most popular designs where I was in the early 90s.

We used to club together and buy a couple of hundred at a time to keep the costs low.

People who don't know, can't know.

I loved it because it was always exciting, the same feeling as I get when on a flight somewhere: adventure, a feeling of "don't know what'll happen next".

A good ten hours of fun with friends, good music, or by myself... like a vacation from... something

Went through a couple of years when a bunch of us would trip virtually every weekend. Often as not we would do a trip each on Friday, then double up on Saturday (to overcome the tolerance).

LOL that's familiar.
In '88 I was living with a buddy, sometimes we would dose each other early in the morning while the other was sleeping, with liquid.

Waking up tripping is a gas, man

I actually once "spiked" myself.

I got home from work on a Friday, my friends weren't up for doing anything that weekend. On a spur of the moment decision, I decided to do a blotter.

I then got into clearing up the house, doing a bit of housework, and realised I needed to shop for food. Somewhere in all that, I forgot that i had eaten the blotter.

It was on the way back from the local supermarket (a two minute walk from my flat), that I remember feeling kinda awesome, walking along with a big grin on my face, swinging the bags of shopping. It wasn't until I had got home and finished putting the shopping away that I actually remembered why I was feeling like that lol.

Had a great solo trip :)

Acid was so much fun.
I miss it.
I miss being on the Grateful Dead tours.

My truly formative years were my late teens, soaked in acid. So many stories. So much fun.

I owe an apology to BeardOfKnowledge @BeardOfKnowledge . I won't say why, unless he requests. I just want him, and everyone, to know that I'm really, really sorry. Really, terribly, very muchly. No amount of apologetic words of mine could soothe the wound I caused so carelessly.
Deeply, sincerely, truly sorry and I can assure you there will be an accounting.

This action of mine will not stand!

Wife is 36 wks preg today and went for a growth scan this morning. From the looks of it, it looks like baby is measuring at 34 weeks rather than 36 and his heart beat is slightly higher than the average amount.

Wife's understandably anxious af. I feel for her. She came into the office and hung with me all morning. I told her it doesn't seem too serious because his measurements are still within the average (albeit right at the bottom part) but said hopefully the gyno can give her pointers to get him more nutrients. Appointment is this afternoon. I feel kinda helpless but hopefully everything is okay.

Looks like he's coming early guys. Wife is in hospital for close monitoring, and they've said between 1 & 2 weeks from now he'll have to be delivered. Hopefully he'll be okay. Bring it on.

We’re doing some night work around the campus of UC Boulder and it’s only 10pm and these kids are wasted. None of them can read street signs and I’ve already seen some girl being drug home by her friends lol. Fucking L-I-T-E , lit.
