That's exactly what Hitler did....
Yeah.

And if I remember correctly (I might not, if so then sorry) - but at the start of the thread you were of the opinion that all these comparisons between Hitler and Putin were way way way overblown. Now you are at the stage where "it makes sense for Putin to expell and/or expunge these people".
Gonna be interesting to see where you gonna be in two months.

Btw. Hitler had years for his oeuvre. And plenty people in other countries "understanding" him along the way as well.

No one said "Yeah, that camp sounds way better than moving. Let's pick that one."

You're also grossly misrepresenting any positions I've taken in this thread.

Far be it from me to question that this is legit, but member that the Luka map so far turned out to be bogus. No invasion of Odessa from Transnistria/Invasion of Moldova (for those with poor eyesight).

Could just be fuckery.
Perhaps Lukashenko's map turned out to be "bogus" because the original plan was for Kiev to fall in three days, and for the entire Ukraine to be taken in less than a month? Just a thought.

Hey if the Latin alphabet is Russian, it stands to reason that Latin America was discovered by the Russians as well. That's just plain logic.
Can't argue with that sort of straight forward thinking. Good job.

Very possibly. Except for the absurd fake news that the Russians ever thought Kiev would fall in 3 days, no matter how overly-optimistic they were.

That is just another one of those claims that there is absolutely no evidence or logical basis for believing and yet everyone believes.

Well no. That's clearly demonstrably wrong. The horrors and war crimes they committed on the outskirts of Kiev proves they believed they would never have to retreat and the atrocities would never have been discovered.

Unless they believed the overly optimistic reports that they would be welcomed by the majority of Ukranians, reports delivered by the FBS who were told that pessimistic reports were unacceptable, and were assured that no actual invasion would take place.

For clarification, are you saying that the Russians did the gross shit they did because they were certain of their victory?

They did it because ultimately that is the orcs they are. Drunken orcs. But they also believed they had impunity yes. They were convinced that all evidence of their war crimes would be destroyed because they controlled the area.

Same as in Grozny and Syria.

That seems like a bit of a dubious position to hold given the history of attrocities performed during war. Just in this thread there's video of Ukrainians saying they're going to castrate a guy and posters saying "Well, crazy shit happens during war." which in my opinion is a reasonable way to look at it, but let's apply that lens to both sides maybe.

Translation:

"Dear Ukrainian people,

We are the 36th Naval Infantry Brigade, which did not betray its vows in 2014 and exited Crimea to continue defending Ukraine. We are defending Mariupol for 47 days since the beginning of the war. We have been bombed from the sky, we have been shelled by artillery, tanks and other weapons. We stood our ground, doing the impossible. But any resources have a tendency of running out sooner or later. During combat operations, we have been given 50 122mm shells, 20 mines, some NLAWs and Starlink from Elon Musk – thanks Elon, it survived multiple airstrikes and still works. Nothing more has been transferred. Without ammunition our ability to defend ourselves has been very limited, and we have been pushed back to “Azovmash” factory, where the enemy has encircled us and is now trying to obliterate us.

There was an option to bring in additional reserve to strengthen the defenses. There were options to break through the enemy lines to reach our forces. Sodol’ , Degtyaritsky tried to do something, but their superiors turned them away. We reported to JFO about it, they told us to hang on and that they are working on it, they promised a helicopter which never came. We talked with Commander in Chief who promised a deblockade. We talked with the Guarantor (president?) who guaranteed us either a political or military resolution of the situation. For more than a month infantry has been fighting without resupply, without food or water, having to drink water from puddles, and we have a big number of deaths. The mountain of wounded soldiers accounts for almost half of the entire brigade. People who don’t have their limbs torn off and who are capable of walking are coming back to fight. Most of the infantry is dead and shootouts are conducted by artillery guys, drivers, cooks, signalmen. Even the orchestra members. They die, but they die fighting. We are slowly dying out.

The wise generals advise us to take ammunition from the enemy. [Not sure of the correct translation: Those Soviet klutzes haven’t died of old age yet, so now a lot more people have to die because of them]. There were chances. There were possibilities but due to the fear of reporting up the command chain, they haven’t been realized. Nobody wants to communicate with us because we have already been written off as dead.

I think that today will be our final battle because we don’t have any more ammo. After that it’s coming down to CQC. Next – death for some, imprisonment for others.

Dear Ukrainian people.

I don’t know what comes next, but I ask you to spare some good thought for the marines, and regardless of what future events may transpire – don’t talk bad about naval infantry. They’ve done everything possible and impossible. Because they are forever faithful!

I don't see Ukrainian soldiers killing and raping civilians in Russia. Shall we use that as the benchmark for positions? That seems a reasonable line in the sand to me. imo.

Orcs aren't reasonable and as such you cannot reason with an orc. Just drop some white phosphorous on their heads seems the best way to make to ensure they don't come back.

Imo.

"Understanding" might be a bit strong. More like allowing it providing he stopped with further land acquisitions.

The similarities with Hitler annexing Austria and Putin doing the same to Crimea are hard to ignore.

Same goes for Hitler's move on Czeckoslovakia and what Putin is now doing with Ukraine.

Next for Hitler was Poland.
What's next for Putin?

Are you saying that for you the morality of actions of a defender to an attacking soldier, and those of an occupying soldier to a civilian is the same?
