Lol, I wish. The Austin market is off the charts. Thank goodness I bought this place in 2008 when the market was in the shitter, because we accrued a lot of equity. You can’t even buy a tear down now for twice what we paid back then.Is housing cheaper in these locations with the crazy heat?
It should be.

good HVAC and insulation are important here for summer. The evening lows are around 80 so doesn’t cool that much so no open windows this time of year. We’ve upgraded our system and house so we’re all good, but one of my neighbors said he had his AC set at 74 today and it was 82 in his house when he got home from work. That’s too hot for me to sleep well.
That sounds amazing to me. My thermostat that came with our HVAC system shows weather projections. This is what it says now…It's been mid to high 80's here with nights between fifty something and low 70's.
Warm days, sleepable nights without AC.

I have field work Monday and Tuesday too damn it lol. No joke, you have to eat and drink constantly all day if you don’t want to fade out or feel ill if your working outside. Coconut water is my friend.
