Brock Purdy shows yet again that Wins are not a QB stat. When he started his career and everyone was healthy they went what? 9 or 11 wins in a row and some people in these threads and twitter were saying he was a top 5 QB. Some even said he could be the next Tom Brady.

Well now that the talent around him is dropping like flies the team is losing. These losses are not all on him but those wins were not all on him either.

Will people learn? Most likely not. We will see this again when the next late round QB goes on a run.

Brandon Aiyuk is feared to have torn his ACL

You know, whenever a player makes a big stink about his contract and holds out, and demands a trade, and holds his team hostage.....i kind of don't feel bad when they catch a season ending injury

This is the chick that ran across the field last night with a Trump sign at the STeelers/Jets game

Think we're looking at like 10lbs of silicone there.

Probably unlikely as the raiders are awful, but it would be hilarious to me if the jets finish with a worse record than them lol

She's probably naturally a pretty girl, I don't get what the cartoonish breast size appeals to. That and the insane asses and lips we see these days. Is it an appeal to the lowest dregs of our society? The key to attractiveness is proportion and symmetry.

Yeah, nothing about this style of look is attractive to me. She looks like a soul less sex doll. Hugely fake tits, fake ass...the stupid lips...fake eyelashes.
Cant really tell, but looks like she's probably got some shitty tattoos too.

What are we even doing here lol.

There is a good argument on the reverse end on this being why players want deals. If he played this season and got this same injury he makes less on his new contract than what he got via holdout.

For example let's compare who thinks back on if they made the right choice.

Aiyuk wants new deal. He holds out and gets new deal.

Earl Thomas wants new deal. Goes back and plays on his current deal hes not happy with. He gets hurt. Does not get the deal he wanted and goes to a different team.

I'll personally take Aiyuk's situation all day if I'm a player.

Getting hurt has nothing to do with the deal you already signed. It's football, your career can be over any minute. Something you just have to accept. If you aren't on the field, you have no value to your team.

This was a unique situation though. Seattle did not give him the deal he wanted because he refused their surgery recommendation for a leg injury. They knew he was compromised and were proven right. Only after he broke his leg again did he get the proper work done, and at that point the relationship was broken beyond repair.

There's been a lot of these comparisons this year. Underlying point is that Mahomes just hasn't been very good at all this year.

Yet the Chiefs are 6-0. Yes, there's been a LOT Of ref assitance. But he's always a threat to defenses because of who he is, but he's just playing pretty sub-par.

6 TDS to a league leading 8 ints.
Like 23rd int he league in passer rating.

Lots of bad throws this year. If the games had been reffed fairly, that team would be 3-3 at best.

Which is why players want the deals the want. They know you can get hurt so why risk it when you have only 1 year left on your contract. That is what they are thinking.

Aiyuk made the right move financially.

Yeah im not making an argument against why an NFL team does what they do when it comes to negotiating. I'm speaking on the players perspective on how they want to get deals done because they could get hurt/etc. Seahawks were in the right in that situation. Their worries became true. In Aiyuk's situation he was right because he's worries became true.

Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to get deals done. It just seems players are only the ones viewed as being unreasonable.

If an NFL team forced a player to sit until they re-negotiated for less money, it would be the same thing imo.

Honor the contract you already signed. WHen it expires, negotiate for a new one.

Holding your team and teammates hostage is only looking out for yourself, which i know most players are these days.

If a team wanted to that then thats their right. There are protections against this somewhat. The player would still get paid for that contract and would get to enter free agency healthy.

Edit: Also that would very much so piss off agents (as thats how they get paid) and the union. If an agent for example reps a very good player and a middling player for the same team and the team sits the middling player then the agent will fuck them when it comes time to sign the good player.
