Yeah, my Uncle retired from the New York Corrections, had a lot of friends in LEO. My cousin got a phone call from one, said Sheriff is on the way to seize his registered hand guns, get all the long guns out of the house. Fucked up but one of the reasons I moved away from NY.That’s our concern. MD can seize guns under the guise of them being a public safety issue as the owner no longer has control of them after they die no matter how safely they are stored. My FL license doesn’t have reciprocity in MD. I can’t even use a MD FFL to transfer them to myself without a MD permit which you have to be a resident to obtain.
Still hoping the gun trust just needs some revision, maybe with an FFL being the trustee with instructions that I get what I want transferred to me and anything else sold.
Laws are just crazy in that state. For instance he can legally possess and use “high capacity” magazines (>10 rounds) but can’t purchase them in MD.
