Good vid. Thanks. I would have liked to see him do one more 4 shot group with the 147 duty at the very end too, to see if there is a difference vs cold bore. My guess is no, since he did not put that many rounds through. Although I've shot guns for many years, I didn't take it very seriously until just recently so I'm still somewhat of a beginner and trying to gather as much info as possible.

Most folks aren't going to need the difference in accuracy between self defense ammo and range ammo, imo.

Review of the Hunter Constantine Carry Belt.

I've been wearing this belt for around 2 weeks now and I really like it. I was looking for an EDC belt that wouldn't cause an extra bulge due to the buckle or overlapping of the belt. I used to wear my Original SOE belt, which I still love but the cobra buckle adds bulk. Yes....I moved the buckle to the side but it still bothered me. I also wore my We the People hook and loop belt but the overlapping section creates the extra bulge. For a while I was also wearing the inner portion of my range belt.

The Hunter Constantine Carry Belt has a flat "buckle" that hooks onto 1of 2 loops so everything remains flat. 1 section of the belt is stiff, like my other carry belts. I bought the regular, which fits 32" - 42". The stiff portion of the belt is about 20" and the remainder is "high-strength military-grade elastic". Once u adjust the elastic to your size, u simply hook into the loop and if u carry appendix, shift the "buckle" left or right so your holster attaches to the stiff portion of the belt. The elastic portion feels good and doesn't dig into my lower back. I had to wear my other belts in before they no longer dug into my lower back.

The only negative I've notice thus far. I wish the attachment loops were made of a stiffer material. They sometimes fold inwards while I'm trying to attach the buckle.

I think the stiff portion of the belt will last me a long time but I'm interested in the longevity of the elastic portion.

The 1st loop is for when u carry and the 2nd loop is for when u do not.

Legal Question:

I live in FL and my dad lives in MD which has awful gun laws in general. He has a large collection of firearms and we are trying to figure out the best way to get them to me legally should he die before me. Currently has a “gun trust” as part of his will but apparently ATF has changed some things to restrict this.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Should be able to just transfer most guns through an FFL and have them shipped to you. Regulated guns can be transferred at the local MSP barracks, obviously don't take them into the barracks with you. I would start by talking to a local FFL dealer first and see what they suggest. I would think everything could be shipped and transferred but MD has some screwy laws.

Can't he just move them to you? Does Florida require every firearm to be registered?

Here in Missouri we don't have to register anything. Obviously we need to fill out paperwork for the feds if buying new, but that's it. We can do person to person sales without any kind of paperwork.

Fly up there, rent a car, and drive them back to Florida. Return the rental, and put your father's guns in a safe in your home. No need to involve the government. It is like two days worth of effort. Do it on a weekend.

FL isn’t the issue. MD has insane gun laws, especially with handguns. Person to person is fine in FL but my understanding is that sales or gift across state lines requires an FFL.

He’s going to his FFL this week to see if they have any ideas. Likely over Thanksgiving week going to pick out what I would want to keep.

Most states include an exception for transfers between family members being exempt from having to go through an FFL. You might want to look into that.

Not possible

Thank you.

The best scenario would be that he could gift or “sell” me what I want now while still maintaining possession himself. Maryland has some of the worst handgun possession/sale/carry laws in the country.

thanks agin

This is all so bizarre, they're just tools.
Can't give your son a hammer without the government getting involved?
When my Uncle died, the Sheriff came and seized his handguns, my cousins could get them back only if they got a handgun permit and then applied to bring them back to the family, this was in NY. Some states have fucked up laws.

That’s our concern. MD can seize guns under the guise of them being a public safety issue as the owner no longer has control of them after they die no matter how safely they are stored. My FL license doesn’t have reciprocity in MD. I can’t even use a MD FFL to transfer them to myself without a MD permit which you have to be a resident to obtain.

Still hoping the gun trust just needs some revision, maybe with an FFL being the trustee with instructions that I get what I want transferred to me and anything else sold.

Laws are just crazy in that state. For instance he can legally possess and use “high capacity” magazines (>10 rounds) but can’t purchase them in MD.

Maryland is listed as shall issue to residents and non-residents, so you might not be correct about having to be a resident to get a permit there.

That is pretty common on the west coast, but "importing" is also illegal. You might want to be careful regarding those gifts for him.

I’m checking on the handgun qualification license today. Appreciate the link. The one I saw said I would have to be a resident, may have been old.
