Today and tomorrow are Amazon Prime days. If you have a Prime account, there are some good deals available. I just ordered a Streamlight ProTac 2.0. According to camelcamelcamel, it is the lowest price ever on Amazon. There were a couple of retailers that were selling it for a similar price listed through gun.deals. I'm happy with the price I paid.

I thought I might add. I usually get whatever I can find for cheap ammo to shoot. Today a friend brought along some premium stuff and wow. What a difference. This is at 200yds.

Does anyone have any input or recommendations to consider for spotting scopes? Cabela's has a deal on this vortex razor hd. A brief search shows that this particular model goes on sale a lot and has even been cheaper in the past. Any input appreciated. I don't have a clue

Seems like, these days, vortex is cruising on their name like yeti and so many others.
You pay alot for that cool sticker they send you.

I don't remember if it was this thread or the one on the other site, but a lot of guys were saying that they prefer binoculars over spotting scopes. I have a cheap Simmons that I inherited from my dad and am not really a fan. Obviously the Vortex is better quality (or it should be for 6x's the price) but you may want to try out some spotting scopes and some binos at the store and see which you like better.

I have a spotter I never use.
I'd rather have a strong set of glass I can tripod up in addition to what I'm already carrying on my chest.
I get posting up and scanning possible/likely areas all day, in theory, but I'm just not capable of hunting that way. I cannot sit that long. It's not worth the weight penalty and it's one more thing I gotta worry about breaking.

Only thing my spotter is used for is range days anymore.
Just more of a hassle than a useful tool in the field for me.

But everyone hunts different, I get itchy feet.

I also have a spotter that I have only used a couple of times. So much easier to use binoculars.

This a decent mag release? The trigger isn't truly important but the damn mag release is.. Fuck that G3 one is fucking terrible.
I have no idea bro. I was just looking for a pink one for you. Lol. I do have an aluminum one in the p80 that I built that I like. I forget which one though honestly.

I'm almost positive that this is the one that I have. I built it 4 or 5 years ago and then got my 509 and built a few AR's. The P80 has been a safe queen for a couple years now so my memory is a little fuzzy. Lol

Current Production, 4.25" barrel
I would not mess with a vintage unless absolutely necessary
Haven't fired it
Super polished
Fit and finish is really great, but they totally fucked up with a rear site that absolutely will not stay in place(1+millimeter play left to right)...So I got new sites that were recommended as a solution.
mine looks just like this but has super dark wood grips.
Action is very nice IMO...I have a few revolvers so that is what I'm comparing it to

Just swapped the Wilson Combat sights.
Didn't have a pin starter for the rear sight but I improvised and pulled it off.
So much better, I went with Gold round dot for front sight and a U shaped notch in the rear sight.
The vertical adjustment screw is longer and the positive click is better, helluva upgrade.

Can't believe how bad the factory rear sight was.
Everything else is perfect but the rear sight was dog poo
