That’s our concern. MD can seize guns under the guise of them being a public safety issue as the owner no longer has control of them after they die no matter how safely they are stored. My FL license doesn’t have reciprocity in MD. I can’t even use a MD FFL to transfer them to myself without a MD permit which you have to be a resident to obtain.

Still hoping the gun trust just needs some revision, maybe with an FFL being the trustee with instructions that I get what I want transferred to me and anything else sold.

Laws are just crazy in that state. For instance he can legally possess and use “high capacity” magazines (>10 rounds) but can’t purchase them in MD.
Yeah, my Uncle retired from the New York Corrections, had a lot of friends in LEO. My cousin got a phone call from one, said Sheriff is on the way to seize his registered hand guns, get all the long guns out of the house. Fucked up but one of the reasons I moved away from NY.

Registries aren't for confiscation. I promise.

This shit is so weird to me. Sometimes living in a free state is easy to take for granted.

When my grandfather died a few years ago, my brothers and I took turns picking which guns we wanted as per his wishes. No registration, no contacting law enforcement, nothing.

Yep same thing when my father in law passed, we sorted out the guns to the family members that wanted them.

Any updates on progress?

Wanted to share this with you guys over here too. I met Hickok45 today at the grocery store:

As tall as advertised. Very polite Southern grandfather/gentleman. I could tell he appreciated being recognized but didn't want the attention to last too long so I shook his hand after we chatted for a minute and parted ways.

Real cool guy. I didn't waste his time too long because I hate being chatted up in the checkout line too.

Yeah, but your kind of a big Dill bud. Did you at least give him a sample of hot sauce?

LOL no and I felt a little bad because my instant thought was "how can I use this for self promotion?" Notice I didn't even ask him for a picture together, just took one of his ass like a creep.

LOL. That's how I knew it was him. He looked like a 100 other old guys that enjoy shooting but I remembered reading he was tall as fuck. So I asked him "Are you the youtube guy?" He smiled and goes "yeah I've been on there.."
